I like most Americans, but I don't care about America.
Can't speak for you, or anyone else, really. But I don't believe you have it right. I think you're just exhibiting sour grapes.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

Heh, you're probably right. Too bad, maybe we could take some of these losers out in the ensuing shootout.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Did he the first time? No.

    That's not divisive.
it is also not entirely true....there are lots of ways to discriminate, even those who were formerly the victims of discrimination are sometimes guilty of discrimination...

yep, he had both houses and still did little to nothing, then sat back and coasted for the next 2 years. I hope his On The Job training period is over, time for him to do some real work....

Re: Will Obama live up to his victory speech?

I will say the same thing I thought when he was elected the first time. I would love to see the dude succeed and leave this country better than the way he found it. I am also proud that our country elected a black man as POTUS, no matter his party or political lean. However, as it is, he hasn't done much to help at all. He's done the equivalent of almost going under on his house payment and claiming victory for paying it off with a credit card. He's made the world hate us more with his drone strikes and continued war in Afghanistan. Terrorists are becoming bold again. 7 plus % unemployment has become the new norm. Bipartisanship is at its most rampant (You can say all you want about the right. It takes 2 to tango). And the lies and controversy are ever present. One good thing for all American people about his re-election. He will have to face the Libya situation now. The media may stop giving him a pass now that he can't be re-elected. They have no reason to give him a pass. I know that's EXTREMELY optimistic when speaking of our countries media but hey, I can dream can't I?

As far as him achieving any of the grandiose and lofty goals he proclaimed...I sincerely hope he fails.
You must be pissed that the strong showing you were expecting Colorado to give - never showed up.
