Chris Christie or Jeb Bush would be my top choices so far. Marco Rubio is also on there but I need to see more from him.

Personally I consider staying true to yourself far more valuable than winning. If you don't believe something don't say that you do and surely don't act on this lie. If people want more welfare than that is what they want and will vote for. If they don't then they will vote against it. Since the later never happens when it becomes part of a system there is only one path to victory. A path I despise with all my being. Since the country is a welfare state people consider those against it radical and for that they will get what is coming to them in time.

You had better turn to someone like Rand Paul or a Libertarian minded Republicans. The GOP lost substantially among Blacks, Latinos, and Women. If you weren't a married white man then you probably voted Democrat.

The GOP has to change substantially from its far right social issues. The way to do that is go with Ron Paul like Republicans who would change the rhetoric and evolve the GOP into a party that can beat Democrats in these areas of our country.

No. He just wants to be leader of a movement of people he cordially detests, and he's probably the only guy we have on our side who is as impressed with himself as the President.

Chris Christie would lose, and lose badly; he wouldn't even make it out of the primary. He is free to throw his hat in, I suppose, but given his tongue lashing abilities, I'd rather he not damage the final candidate.

We unfortunately don't have a clear cut person to go to in 2016...which admittedly is a hindrance for us I think.

My veiws on a few of it...

Huntsman (with a different campaign manager) would be my PERSONAL pick, though I think he'd have done better in 2012 than in 2016. He was pretty much a custom built Obama Thumper and a HORRIBLE primary killed the chance. He's still a good candidate for 2016, but he was custom made for a 2012 presidency.

In terms of what's likely...RIGHT NOW I'd say there's going to be a strong push for Rubio in hopes of broadening the base, since he's more moderate on immigration issues and the latino block is going to be a huge constituency. I would've said Christie, and still think he's a likely candidate, but he's going to have to get back into the parties graces to do it. Rand Paul is probably going to take the Ron Paul slot, and likely do a fair bit better due to having a bit more pragmatism and charisma than his father, but still unlikely to win it.

I also figure there may be a a sleeper governor out there somewhere, though not sure who at this point.

I think Jindal and Jeb's times have largely passed from having a really strong shot to run. Portman doesn't have the charisma I think. And I don't believe Santorum is going to successfully present an image of electability after losing two straight races.

While I am a Democrat and will not vote in this poll, please please please make it Rand Paul in 2016. I will even send him five bucks if it will help get him the GOP nomination. Heck, if it gets him the Libertarian nomination I will send it just the same.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

As a Libertarian, Rand is still a bit too Republican for my tastes, but I will say that, had the Republican party not taken a steamy dump on the Ron Paul delegates, and had Romney picked him over Ryan as a VP, we wouldn't be asking this question right now.
