Actually, if you look at it the dividsion is really between cities and more rural areas. Do a county by county look at the vote. You can't really divide the country that way.

It will go off a clilff by necessity. It is not a false crisis. It is a matter of having too many people, with too little resources, and too few to pay the bills.

I see it as regional. I see it as the old Civil War lines being drawn again and again. Look at the electoral map for the past few elections.

Nobody can spell it out for what it is in the media because they don't want to incite unrest. But the differences are real, palpable. I know a lot of people up north just don't understand, but for example I am Texan, and a lot of Texans are serious about wanting to secede. It's not just because of Obama, it goes much deeper than that. This country has always been divided between north and south, we only pretend like we're not.

Go to Texas sometime. You're sure to see a few "Texas should secede" bumper stickers. The sentiment is alive in the south.

I have more faith. Faith in our people. Faith in our way of life. And frankly, it will take very little to get us back to where Clinton had us.

Yeah I know. Loved San Antonio. But Texas has always been a little out there. I grew in in Georgia, and understand southern stupid well. But, that doesn't change what I said. Look for yourself.

All I can say is that the people you come into contact with on a daily basis must be very different from those that I deal with. I have no faith in the majority of our people to do much of anything. In the rural areas, I have much more confidence in humanity. In urban areas? Pretty close to zero when it comes down to the nut-cuttin.
