Math being the language of god is the not the same as math being god.

math is not classically defined (in the bible at least) as being the word of god...

People are entitled to their opinions of course, I just disagree that math should be held in the same regard.

in that case i argue that as god created math, and everything else, then by virtue of omnipresence god and math are one and the same.

Then I expect you to worship absolutely everything, including air since its all the creation of God.

However, I believe there is adequate distinction between a creator and its creation.

[1:16] God made the two great lights - the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night - and the stars.

^proof god was considering math long before our present time.

where is the distinction between creator and creation in the sense of the all powerful, omnipresent being god? to me it seems any such distinction is purely a product of our own inability to understand our own oneless, and the oneness of anything we create, with god.

If this is your view, then it is your view and many religions trend this way. I do not. But again, this is a matter of opinion. However, I do not see the material world as divine or approaching the divine. I especially do not see people, with all of our flaws, as divine.

This has nothing to do with nate silver of course...

2+2=4 unless you get into advanced calculus. My niece aced the class but could not get into Harvard, but GW Bush did. Oh but he got in because of a special program the Ivy league schools have for the rich and politically connected.
