Do you think that the results tonight will lead to one of the candidates giving a victory speech tonight?

Or do you think that the race is too close to call tonight and requires a few days to complete counting the votes to determine who the victor is?

Or do you think lawsuits will draw out the election results for several weeks?

I actually do hope there are lawsuits. I want them to make sure that ONLY those that could vote legally voted.

It is more likely that legal voters were suppressed from voting than it is likely that illegal voting occurred.

Only if you actually believe the talking heads.

I posted a video here a couple of times showing illegal voting in just 3 counties in Florida. God knows how many more there were in all the other counties. Certainly enough to have chosen the President in 2004 (I think was the year) in which the tie breakers was just 500 votes.

One of two scenarios.

Night ends super early with Obama taking Florida. If this happens, the election will be over before it even hits primetime on the West Coast. However, I suspect Romney will win Florida

Night ends somewhat early with Obama winning Ohio. This very likely could happen. This would be an early evening for us WestCoasters around Midnight Eastern time. I expect this will be the scenario.

Or Ohio and Florida remain too close to call.....and it goes well into the evening.

2004...

62 million to..... 59 million.....

2000...

50.4 million to 50.9 million....

1996 ....

47 million to....39 million....

In what year has any US election been decided by 500 votes? 1790?

I think that there will be a winner and yes even if one state has a narrow victory that would require a recount Obama will make the speech if he wins and will do his best to counter if Rommey wins.

You're still not accounting for the 18,000 legitimate voters scrubbed in 2000.

more likely? no, legal voters were suppressed. as for illegal voting, i'm sure it occured, but not in an institutionalized manner like the voter suppression was.

Was talking about in Florida. That is the difference that it took to give the states electoral votes to Bush.
