President Obama wants to downsize America. He wants America to have a smaller footprint in the world, because he believes that a smaller America would make for a safer, better planet. If only we consumed less, if only we reduced our military and economic strength, the world would be better off. That doesn’t make Obama a bad man, and he is not alone. Many smart, well-meaning liberals agree with him.

This proves just how bad a number the Obama campaign laid on the unsuspecting American voters.
What in all the hells are you talking about.

I never believed Obama's sales pitch.

    I don't believe Romney's either.

But he cares without regard for their income. Those of you who believe the Axelrod created narrative about Romney are merely his tools.

Yeah, except that neither Romney, nor Obama care about the middle class. I'm not middle class, so it doesn't bother me either way how they feel about those people. All I care about is policy, and they both fail.

Its just that I did it in sales/marketing, and for the more senior technical positions I dealt with (my career was in high tech software) they all had at least some sort of technical certification.

Both parties value the middle classs to an equal extent

the problem is, they both define the middle class as including people who earn 200,000 per year. What they dont mention is the fact that a person earning 200,000 per year in the USA is in the top 4% of money earners

Technically the middle class is the middle 50%. And the highest paid worker in the middle 50% earns about 55,000 per year

We do deserve better, and I do somewhat agree with your comments related to the candidates, BUT, we should vote for the lesser of 2 evils because the direction of the candidates and parties are so dramatically different. Surely, you must have some areas of importance that would either be supported or opposed by one side or the other.

The US consumes about 1/3 of the worlds resources and generates about 30% of the worlds waste and pollution, and yet only makes up about 5% of the worlds population.

What moral and ethical grounds is this self endulgence and sloth justified upon?
