Yes, but I was a law student when Obama was elected. Now I have, like, a job and stuff.

My income has tripled actually....so yeah I guess I am in a better place.

It is hard to gauge how much the government helped, but I sure as heck know they didn't hinder me. I do find it funny that people blame the government for bad things but dont praise them for good things.

yes. right before he was elected, I was informed that I would be let go due to a grant being cut. I was sent out into the lousiest job market imaginable.

soon after, the stimulus passed, and that enabled me to keep my health insurance without going broke. this proved important, because during the months of unemployment, I became ill with a digestive problem that counts as a preexisting condition; a concept that I didn't fully understand at the time. had I dropped the policy, I might have become uninsurable for at least a year. the preexisting condition clause of the PPACA also benefits me, though I think that the bill fell far short of an ideal solution.

also, there's now a massive wind farm outside my town which employs locals and which will make my town an energy town for decades to come.

while my salary hasn't improved and I still have limited job security, I'm better off than I was in january of '09. I don't pretend that Obama knocked on my door and handed me everything, but at least some of it can be linked to policies he promoted.

Well without an official count it seems everyone is better off. Is that possible?

I'm much worse off than I was four years ago, but the reasons are more complex than who sits/sat in the Oval Office on a given day. The seeds of today's reality were planted at least two administrations ago, and both sides were willing to take credit when everything went well, then started pointing fingers when things went south. Essentially, where "we" are now was a team effort, and I find pointing fingers to be somewhat pointless (no pun intended).
If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.
