Except your 'source' is some blogger who's taken top rate, marginal tax rates and other flat rate percentages and then added them together(!!!) I've never seen such a ridiculous ranking system in my life.

Social security is not a tax, it is an insurance premium that you recoup whenever you use a service and when you then draw your state pension or benefit. You get back what you pay in, often more. As I said, top rate of income tax is 45% marginal, not 45% of your income, but 45% of the income you earn over 250,000€ You pay a lower rate on the income you earn up to 250,000€ and you pay no tax ata all on the first 8,000€.

    Say I earn 300,000€, I will pay:

    (0€) 0% on 8,000€
    (1311€*max) 24% on income from 8-13.4k €
    (99651€ max) 42% on income from 13.4-250.7k €
    (22,500€) 45% on income from 250-300k€

    Total tax = 123,462€*on an income of 300,000€ = 41% max

I say 'max' because I taxed the middle two brackets at the top rate of the sliding scale by which they are levied. That doesn't happen, but I couldn't be bothered with the interminable calculation. Add to this that there are tax breaks awarded for dozens of reasons (marriage, kids, dependents, charitable giving etc), as in every tax system, and that brings the percentage even further down.

    That's not socialist.

Even expecting others to pay for it is not socialism, as Marx never supported people not giving only part of their ability.

First, it was your leftist buddies here that implemented many of those "free trade" agreements.

If millions don't earn healthcare, then they don't deserve it. It is a luxury, not a natural right. It is a man-made construct and no man-made construct is a right.

And no, socialist in this country do not "massively" out number "us".

I have no friends on Wall Street, however I do believe in only holding the accountable for what they actually do instead of blaming everything bad in my life upon them. The bad in my life is just as much the result of my own choices as the good.

If that is truly your attitude about education, then no wonder you have never held a job that gave healthcare benefits and paid vacations.

Not everything that isn't a natural right is necessarily a luxury, especially given that 'natural rights' is a very debatable concept anyway.

It is a man-made construct and no man-made construct is a right.

    Ok, lets see.

    The Social Security Act,

Original act wasn't really that bad, of course it was voluntary then. For me personally, I will never actually see anything back from SS despite having paid in during my working life. I get government retirement until I reach retirement age, then they reduce my retirement by the amount that SS kicks in. No benefit to me or millions of others. Also the act has been repeatedly raped for things not originally covered, want to bet on who did the raping since Libs where in control of Congress almost totally until 1995?

    The Clean Water Act

Again, not necessarily a bad thing to begin with but has been turned into and used a monster against people. It has killed whole industries (Chicken Farming for one) in my home county. Thanks for taking something potentially useful and making it so broad that is now a bigger problem to a lot of people than the original problem would of been. Another fine example of a good idea totally ****ed up by Liberals implementing it.

The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993

Another screwed up idea targeted to help bring in Liberal voters. Never had a Family member nor myself positively affected by it, but have and had some family members dumbed with extra work and in my case extra risk because some slut didn't want to stay at home and take care of her brats instead of seeking a career. Totally unnecessary law if women would live up to their duties and responsibilities when they chose to become a mother. My sisters stayed home and quit work to raise their kids when they had them and relied upon their husbands to support the family, as it should be.

Student Loan Reform and Pell Grant Award Increases

More government hand outs primarily used for stupidity. This law wouldn't be as egregious if it only covered degrees that would actually be useful and employable. Forgiving student loans, especially for useless degrees that let people go to college for 4 or more years, party themselves near to death and come out at the end just as useless as the day they went. Those who actually seek useful employable degrees rarely, if ever, need forgiveness for Student Loans.

If you realize fossil fuels are ruining the environment, precipitating violent storms and bound to run out sometime this century – and you support the development of sustainable, clean energy, you can thank a liberal for:

Big, big liberal boogy man totally divorced from reality. The simple fact is that no single factor has caused more outsourcing of jobs overseas than the EPA. It is also the biggest cause of loss of efficiency in systems causing even greater emissions than if they hadn't used their voodooo science instead of real science to try to scare people into voting liberal. No new nuke plants since 1970, and very few coal ones, price of electricity keeps going up and we don't do a damned thing about it. No new refineries since 1970 while over 90% of those that existed at the time have closed, thanks a ****ing lot for $4 a gallon gas you liberal greenie-weenies.

Sustainable clean energy sources? What planet do you live on. Solar at best is still years and years away from being a primary power source, if it ever will be. Wind power is only a supplemental source, unreliable one at that, and will always be. Electric cars? Sure, how many Americans are going to be able to afford that imported Fisker that you libo buddies put so much of our money into? Why are non of them even willing to talk about the very high potential for problems when all those batteries start getting dumped all over as the number of electric/hybrids start increasing.

Not to mention that if all the enviro-idiots had spent even a tenth on developing reasonable useful alternatives they would of accomplished a lot more in the past 50 years than all the billions they spent on lobbying ever could accomplish. If they weren't so tied with liberal socialist, they probably would have and would now be part of the 1% instead of whining about the 1%. Blatant unmitigated stupidity.

Components of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act

Absolutely the biggest fraudulent waste of taxpayer money in history.

The Credit Card Holders’ Bill of Rights Act of 2009,

Another very, very bad bill for the economy. Sure, a short term help for idiots but will cost us a lot in the future. I never have had a personal credit card, never will have one. If you were so stupid and greedy as to base your purchasing on credit without reading the fine print, then too ****ing bad. Credit should always be discouraged and making it the biggest, most expensive ripoff would certainly help keep stupid people for enslaving themselves to the system because they are not only stupid idiots, but greedy ones as well.

    Health Care Reform

What a ****ing joke. Yeah, it reformed it. It set the whole system up for total failure so that the socialist libos could come back with the stupidity of UHC again and stand a better chance of getting it passed. Never mind that it cost us jobs, increased pressure on those who can to outsource and will cost our economy, not to mention tax payers a bloody fortune. If you really wanted to reform healthcare, you would drop the requirement for hospitals to treat everyone regardless of ability to pay, stopped this stupid access for medicaid and route them to a few free/public clinics, allowed all medical systems to refuse care to non-minor illegals in the country. I don't want to thank the Libbos for this, I want to see every one them shot for this.

40 hour work week. BFD. Never had it. If you are unwilling to work the time the company needs you, then they should just dump your worthless ass and hire someone that will.

OSHA, Next to the EPA and Unions, the third biggest reason for loss of jobs in this country. Their paperwork to show compliance is also a confusing useless mass of wasted paper. Like the EPA, they need to be totally disbanded and replaced with something that actually knows what common sense is and is useful instead of hindrance.

The Rural Electrification Act of 1936

need to look this one up, don't really know about it.

overtime pay-- good idea, but if I hire a Chinese worker to make my product I don't have to pay it. Why again should I hire an American Union worker?

All legal rights are man-made constructs.
Yes it is. Anything above basic needs is a luxury. The desire to have something beyond basic needs is greed. Healthcare is not a basic need, it is a luxury. You want it, go earn it. Otherwise, too bad, to sad, come play the game again another time.

No, certain rights, such as pursuit of happiness and self-defense exist without being man-made. They also cannot be taken away. You can make laws against them, but you cannot really take them away. There are others, but certainly not all those listed in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence are actual natural rights. A natural right is something that exist without any law needed to grant it. All other so-called rights are nothing but privileges and only exist because of man making them up.

If you think Life is a natural right, go discuss it with someone who's mother aborted them before they were born, they probably will have a different opinion than you do.

Get used to the mantra of "that isn't "socialist" or "socialism"". You will usually get it anytime you bring up how utterly bad socialist crap stinks and has failed repeatedly in the past. They will deny it even when you beat them over the head with Marx's own words.
