    Well you would need to get used to having a lot of elections instead of one every four years. You would also need a third party.

    Not the same though.........your "smaller elections" aren't swallowed up by the fiasco that is the electoral college. The idea of "one man, one vote" has somewhat fallen by the wayside in the US Presidential election process.

    We don't that either we have electoral districts or ridings. Which ever party gets the most votes wins the seats, then the party with the most seats wins and the leader of that party becomes leader.
