Which state is going to screw up the election this time?

As most of us can remember from the 2000 election, Florida had lots of issues with hanging chads and butterfly ballots, and the election wasn't finally resolved until nearly a month after Election Day. In 2004, it was Ohio's turn to have lots of problems, such as hours-long lines to vote in some places (although Bush would've won Ohio anyway). In 2008 we didn't hear as much about these problems, because the election wasn't very close...but in 2012 it looks like we're heading for another very close election, where we'll inevitably hear lots more about voting irregularities from whichever side loses.

So just for fun, let's play a game: Which state do you think will screw up the election this time around and ruin it for the other 49 states? I'm going to guess Colorado.

Of course it will be florida, they still don't have thier act together as far as fair and equal voting and from what i understand their tabulation policies have not changed since 2000

I hope and I think things will have improved, but with more tea-baggers around.....and with conservative efforts to curtail the voting right of minorities..
So both Ohio and Florida (very ,very close election)

Florida's problem in 2000 was the ballot design (by a Democrat). If the ballots had been designed to look like bingo cards, there would have been no problem. This year the problem could be any or all of the "swing states."

Sorry, it won't be Colorado. We will be pretty clear in our support of Romney.

Yeah. Colorado I feel pretty confident is a good Lean Romney. Ohio seems to be where it's going to come down to the razor. Absent an Obama victory in Florida getting called early, once Ohio get's called the election will be over.

Re: Which state is going to screw up the election this time?

Out of the gate, Florida seems to be the early leader for screwing up the election this time around. It remains to be seen if the other states can catch up to Florida's suckitude to win this dubious honor by Election Day...although Ohio seems determined to try its hardest.

It never ceases to amaze me that we've been holding elections for 200+ years and some states still can't seem to figure it out.

Florida or Ohio ... is my guess.

Good gawd I hope there is not a recount or any such BS. I hope there is no fraud ... I was concerned as I saw Boehner spouting he was certain Romney would win Ohio ... how the hell can anyone be certain of such a close race unless something is set up to make it certain.

I hope whoever wins wins by electoral and popular and no states with malfunctions, overwhelming fraud or that BS.

Colorado, most likely. RCP has it as Obama +0.6, and fluctuating.

    Proof please.

My first guess is Florida, following by Ohio. I hope that everything is over and done with by Wednesday morning so we as a nation, can move forward with whatever it is we have.
