Who do you resent the most? The guy who's informed and voting against your candidate, the guy who's such a single issue voter he's still writing Ralph Nader (or some other not-a-chance third party candidate) in, the guy who clearly hasn't bothered to learn thing one about the issues but is nonetheless voting against your guy, or.............

The guy who doesn't even bother to vote?

If you'd have asked who frustrates me the most I would have answered, "The guy who doesn't bother to vote."

That hardly qualifies him or anyone else in your list as a crappy American or an idiot, however.

Not voting doesn't make him a crappy American IYO, Mags?

Sure does in mine.

I resent the loudmouth guy who knows little or nothing about the issues... then votes for my guy.

makes me feel dirty by association.

I don't resent people. I laugh at them and move on.

why would you be made at someone who chooses not to vote?

I don't find them to be crappy Americans... in fact, I know many many very good Americans who don't vote

with the right to vote comes the equal and opposite right.. a right to refrain from voting.

not something i choose to do, but meh... I don't mind that they don't vote.

No, it doesn't. There are millions of people who get up at 6 AM in the morning, drag their asses out of bed, hurry to get the kids ready for school and pack their lunches, rush to get them out the door in time, drop them off at school, hurry to work to put in their 8-10 hour days, hurry back to pick up the kids, get dinner on the table, do the laundry, help with homework, hold their sick kids heads over toilet bowls, take 'em to the ER for owies, etc., etc., etc., etc. and finally fall into bed at 11 PM exhausted.

They don't have time to sort the issues, watch the debates, become knowledgeable. It frustrates me, but I can appreciate their pain.

BTW, I put up a thread you might be interested in. (No one else seems to be. Ha!) But it supports your thoughts about a civilian review board.

I dont know which is worse...Single issue voters or the highly opinionated people that yap incessantly then dont vote.

The person who only votes for a candidate based upon 'party affiliation'. The uninformed is the most dangerous voter, followed closely by the apathetic non-voters who don't even give a crap enough to educate themselves and at least VOTE for a third party candidate so that maybe at SOME POINT - third parties will be given a snow balls chance in hell to try and change things if people would pull the stick out of their rear ends and put their vote where their mouth is.

As long as we have the two parties (and I use two = separate very loosely!) we are going to be stuck in the ****hole of the same ****, different election year here in the U.S

Sorry, but Democrats/Republicans - there is no difference and if tonights 'debate' doesn't prove that, I don't know what will. :?

I don't hate any voter. We all see things from our own perspective, and vote based on our values and life views. Why hate someone who is voting the way he thinks best, regardless of whether or not he agrees with me?

I prefer to augment my vote by calling it the "selfish vote."

People whose vote is solely based on what kind of personal benefit (ObamaPhones, Foo Stamps, etc.) they can get, versus people who realize that their vote might not benefit them personally, but represents what's best for the country.

I'm so sorry, but not hating anyone is not an available option.

LOLOL.

I hear this a lot -- do you people who fling that poo stop and think that voting for a guy who promises tax cuts for the rich is just as selfish when a rich voter does it?

People's vote is the one thing that belongs to them and them alone in the democratic process. They can use it anyway they want, even not use it, and it is fine with me. While I may be curious as to why someone chooses to vote one way or the other, or might even scratch my head about it, to hate someone for exercising their freedom to vote or not vote is fundamentally flawed to me.

My demographic is underrepresented because statistically, my demographic doesn't vote. And I think that's an infringement upon my rights at the hands of my peers in their neglect of their civic responsibility.

Voting without being informed, however, is probably worse. Either way, it's unethical, either to vote uninformed or to not vote at all, because they live in a democracy that can only function given the informed civic engagement of its people.

Another vote for peaceful coexistance?

No!

LOLOL.

I think not voting is the worst. It speaks of a complete apathy about the nation and your fellow citizens, the future and other nations who'll be affected by our foreign policy.

Agreed, even if you're dumb or mislead go out and vote. The more voters the better this system works. ...of course it would be better if you spent a few hours researching candidates on your ballots, oh and avoid partisan articles, look for non political sources with simple numbers and facts.
