Single issue voters are the worst because they are the easiest to manipulate. Take a hot button issue, say you're for something that has no chance of passing and that you have no interest in pursuing, and poof.... you've just won a sizable voting block for nothing.

Nothing irks me more than duplicity, and there's no element in politics more duplicitous than the bate and switch that occurs with single issue voters.

Ever wonder why nothing ever happens with the issues that single issue voters vote on? If the people who push the issues ever did anything, then their supporters would be free to vote on OTHER issues.

I pick party-tards as the worst American and the uninformed voter regardless of who they vote for as second place or even a tie for crappiest American.

Party-tards are people who only care about their party winning. Party-tards will vote for a candidate who is politically the opposite of them just as long as that candidate is in the same party they are in. Party-tards will do something and then hypocritically bash the other party for doing something that they themselves did. Party-tards will lie to voters by telling them if you don't vote for their guy then you are throwing your vote away. Party-tards will also disregard a candidate who share these same views they do if the media tells them that candidate will not stand a chance or if that candidate is in another party. The other thing that makes them the worst is the fact most of them are informed but they still choose to vote for a lousy candidate. This is why candidates have a low approval rating and a high incumbent reelection rate.

The uninformed voter is just as dangerous as the party-tards since they don't bother to research the candidates they are voting for and are usually influenced by ads. These people are the 2nd cause of why politicians can have a low approval rating and a high incumbent reelection rate.

Its is because of these two groups of people why there is a need for term limits, waiting periods for politicians wanting to run for different offices or political appointments and why party affiliation should be removed from ballots(party replaced with a shot list a candidate's views and past votes under the candidate's name on the ballot and on the voting booth wall have a more thorough list of those candidates views).

The guy who doesn't vote is not a threat to any political cause or the country. If you don't support any candidate then you shouldn't vote for those candidates. If you don't know squat about those candidates then you should not be voting for those candidates.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

The people who vote based on ignorance and people who believe that their individual vote has any meaningful statistical significance.

    Single-issue voters are the crappiest.

Someone who doesn't vote at least does no damage. Single-issue voters actively push bad government on everyone else.

Do we really need to bankrupt our country, put up with apology tours, and inch closer to communism so that gays can marry? For example.

What bugs me are the ones who vote for a candidate only because of race.

By that I mean black people who only vote for Obama because he is black, and hillbillies who won't even consider Obama because he is black.

    No it doesn't.
    It's completely rational.

Mega Millions odds of winning are worse, but given the entire context of it, not by much in my estimation.
What does that mean, your vote doesn't matter all that much.

This phrase applies to the voters who don't vote:

"You can choose not to decide, but you still have made a choice".
Scientific fact: If you took all of the veins from your body and laid them end to end, you would die.

Well, for starters, there are state and local races in every election -- for example, my city has a school levy on this ballot. A few dozen voters can influence that outcome.

As for national races, I know what you're saying but it sounds to my ear like a plea to bless apathy. I used to hear some married people say that their spouse did not support the same candidate as they did, so they'd mutually agreed not to vote.

I can't wrap my brain around someone being so cavalier about a right that Americans have died for, that cities have burned for, that we all agree is what keeps our democracy the best in the world.

What would be the payoff for not voting, apart from indulging an impulse to be lazy?
