Your candidate LOSES - what do you do?

With the election quickly approaching and tensions running high this election season, I have to ask:

What will you do if your candidate for POTUS loses?

Will you continue on with a negative attitude, or will you 'buck up' and roll with it? In elections past, we've all heard how some threatened to leave the country - and then after the fact, most didn't. And, how long after the elected POTUS takes office, will you expect to see results if 'the other guy' wins?

The older you get the more elections you will win and lose. If your choice loses there is nothing else to do but to accept the results of the majority of americans or the Electoral college as it may turn out...and live your life. What else can you do ?

That is my answer as well, but I'm curious to see what sorts of responses come up. I've been a participant of online poli forums for years now, and it never ceases to amaze me the reactions to election outcomes.

Live my life exactly as before and not really worry about it, other than being annoyed that my preferred policies to help the country are not going to be looked at. There is very little the government and president does that affects my life directly.

I can tell you what I will not do. I wont refer to him as "your" President. I won't be disrespectful. I wont make up silly stories about him and post them all over the internets to be repeated millions of time by my like minded "bots". If Americans are killed overseas I will mourn for them respectfully and pray from the POTUS to make the right decisions and rejoice when he does. or if he has a great accomplishment (read kills OBL) I will be glad for him and my country rather than try to find some way it was really a failure. I will not call him mindless stupid names. I suspect, no matter who wins my life will be pretty much the same, hopefully the next 4 years will be better for this country. No matter who wins. I am an American.

Oh I agree...I voted for McCain/Palin in 2008 and I was taken aback by some of the vicious comments about Obama after the election...some of which have been non stop for 4 yrs. Having said that the vicious attacks on Palin is what assured my vote for McCain in concrete

Like most Americans, I will constantly complain and gripe about every decision the president makes. I will blame everything from my favorite sports team losing to any global problem on the president. I will also hope for his/her complete and utter failure as president regardless of the damage that failure could cost the country.

I hope I don't really act like that, but I do think that many people, on both sides, do.

Re: Your candidate LOSES - what do you do?

Luckily, I don't have to worry about this problem. My candidate has this thing locked down and all the pretenders will simply have to suck it. He will finally get us headed in the right direction and, while haters gonna hate, eventually history will have to admit the greatness of President Gary Johnson

I feel sorry for all of you living in denial about your candidates.
    Omniscience just sucks without omnipotence!
