In elections past, we've all heard how some threatened to leave the country - and then after the fact, most didn't. And, how long after the elected POTUS takes office, will you expect to see results if 'the other guy' wins?

I can't say I really have a dog in this fight anymore. I've been disappointed by so many elections, It's hard to care anymore. Not that "my candidate" lost, but because I can't really like anything about any of the candidates. Huge disappointments, since I don't think any of them even knows what it means to be President of the United States. When Bachmann and Palin threw their hats in the ring with their stupid "hey y'all, pick me cuz winning n stuff" campaigns, I lost all hope for the future of this country. Not because idiots ran, but because millions were just eating it up, when they should have just handed them a box of crayons and some circles of safety paper. My problem has never really been the candidates, it's been the fact that our candidates are a consequence for mass stupidity, and has really changed my opinion on the "virtues" of liberal democracy.

But I will continue with my life as always.
I love the NSA. It's like having a secret fan-base you will never see, but they're there, watching everything you write and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that I may be some person's only form of unconstitutional entertainment one night.

A packed court in either direction would be a disaster.
If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.

Which is one of the reasons why it is important to re-elect Obama. Obama ensures a balanced court.....Romney would stack the court with right-wing activists that would tip the balance of the court for the next generation.

Re: Your candidate LOSES - what do you do?

It's just hard to swallow that anybody genuinely believes that one political faction in Washington can or will do anything of value for our country over the other faction(s). Our government system (including political factions) are perhaps hopelessly broken. They are so systemically damaged that it is beyond their ability to mend themselves. Actually, it's against their best interests to mend themselves.
