I'll move on with my life. It's not like it's going to change that drastically based on who gets elected.

I did check again. I'm correct. And you gave me a proper option, i.e. #1. It's just your post wording.

In elections past, we've all heard how some threatened to leave the country - and then after the fact, most didn't. And, how long after the elected POTUS takes office, will you expect to see results if 'the other guy' wins?

I'm gonna wait until election day to decide who I think will win and vote for them. Victory parties are so much better than those downer "A for effort" parties

I mostly agree with this, Vauge. No doubt both Obama and Romney--first and foremost--serve those who have mostly contributed to their campaigns before "we the people." What I will say, though, is that one may do less damage than the other when it comes to their policies.

Is everybody OK? And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.

This is probably the most likely scenario. Nothing will change here at DP. The only thing that will change will be the threads about voting fraud.

Re: Your candidate LOSES - what do you do?

Since I am not supporting either Obama or Romney, in all likelihood "my" candidate will lose. So...

I expect that if Obama wins, conservatives will go on pretending that they're smarter than everyone, possibly revive the birther stuff if they get really desperate. Liberals will go on being Obama-apologists, and blaming Bush.

I expect that if Romney wins, things will likely continue along the same path, with the difference being that conservatives make all sorts of excuses for him and blaming Obama for 4 years of his failure.

I would wait for the weekend and then go get ****faced drunk. Granted I would do that regardless of the election or not.
