Re: Your candidate LOSES - what do you do?

    I am 49 years old.
I've never voted for the candidate that wins.
I've never voted for the candidate that comes in second either.

This is because I always have voted third party choices because I see the entire two-party system as corrupt and destined to fail regardless of which democrat or republican gets the win.

I hate our two-party system and live for the day an alternative choice gets the win. I hope to see such an event before I die.

So, regardless of which failure wins in a few weeks, I'll keep on keeping on, and struggle to do the best for my family and our future.

This should have been a poll option.

Unlike Layla, I don't think most people would pick that as a poll option. I wish Layla posted more often!

In elections past, we've all heard how some threatened to leave the country - and then after the fact, most didn't. And, how long after the elected POTUS takes office, will you expect to see results if 'the other guy' wins?

I'll support my beliefs and continue to try to fight to make America a growing economy with a strong middle class, regulated businesses, busting monopolies and creating unions and fight against evil religious wing nuts trying to enslave groups of people.

first, I'll sleep in the next day, because I take that day off so I can stay up all night. the next day, I'll go to work. I'll also begin slowly looking for another job, because I'm paid on a research grant, and that funding will likely be cut again.

will I be disappointed if we decide as a nation to try neoconservatism again? yes; in fact, I will be somewhat stunned. however, I'm not into dramatic gestures, and life will go on.

Please note. Your poll options are open; but, your post is not, and it's revealing. “Continuing on with a negative attitude” indicates that the people this poll is only for are not one's supporting the incumbent.

Re: Your candidate LOSES - what do you do?

I've only voted for the winning party in 2 out of the 7 general elections I've voted in. On both of those occasions I've felt severely betrayed. So, if your man loses in November, buck up, it could be worse, he could have won!

People from both side of the political spectrum who support the incumbent and the GOP candidate have negative attitudes. Your response is telling as far as what you are reading into.

I don't have a candidate this time around, so no matter who wins I'll be doing the same thing.... Loading ammunition, stocking and storing food, equipment, weapons, etc.... for the hopeful overthrow of this government.

Not worried. It will be status quo whoever wins. It's not like there is a difference between them.
