I'm not your sterreotypical, monolithic, knuckle dragging, bigoted right winger.

I have spent a great many hours reading about Islam and Islamism and the threat it posed to other societies which underestimated their capabilities or misread, for a variety of reasons, their (Islamist leaders') intentions.

Until we have a way of preventing our voters from misguidedly voting for Shariah law to be implemented in this country, we need to be ever vigilant of the potential and actual gains being made here to increase the power and influence of Islamists.

That includes the hugely important symbolism of voting for a muslim president.

I'll mention, once again, the story of the tender hearted woman who brought a snake into the warm cabin, saving it from freezing, whereupon the snake fatally bit her. She cried, how could you do this to me, the one who saved your life? The reptile replied with a grin, you knew darned well I was a snake before you brought me in.
    you done ranting?
    the constitution already does that

and I asked you questions you dodged, how come this doesnt happen with all presidents

BUT now I dont need your answer because you just basically called all muslims snakes, that tells me all i need to know about your though process

    Fixed it for you.
The five great lies of the Left Wrong:
We can be Godless and free. • “Social justice” through forced redistribution of wealth. • Silencing religious opinions counts as “diversity”. • Freedom without moral and personal responsibility. • Civilization can survive the intentional undermining of the family.

Funny, you didn't twist your knickers when I compared all religions to fish and Islam to the Puffer Fish used to create the potentially lethal Japanese delicacy, fugu.

Nor did I hear any tripe from you when the essay i quoted compared Islamist groups (and individuals, for that matter) to a lethal, communicable disease.

[ Combat with evildoers is not Clausewitzian war. You do not make treaties with evildoers or try to adjust your conduct to make them like you. You do not try to see the world from the evildoers point of view. You do not try to appease them, or persuade them, or reason with them. You try, on the contrary, to outwit
them, to vanquish them, to kill them. You behave with them in the same manner that you would deal with a fatal epidemic you try to wipe it out.

I use comparisons to animals and people and things all the time. You can't honestly use that to gauge how I feel about Muslims.

On that subject I am on record as supporting full and equal rights for all Muslims in America except for being able to become POTUS without first erecting safeguards to prevent Political Islam from making inroads in our country and government which could weaken our nation and current form of govt.

I voted, "No", because I believe that Muslim values and American values are incompatible. As a Conservative, I believe in a Moral Government, and I believe Culture is the identity of a Nation, and that the President should reflect that Culture, and the idea's of that Nation. Muslim's have their religious beliefs, and they are entitled to them; however, America is the place where Slavery was abolished, where Women were given the right to Vote and right to Educate and Work, where religious liberty is our first principle. These idea's are incompatible to the Islamic Faith and Culture and to say a potential President could ignore his religious faith is rather disingenuous.

my question is, if you felt the person was qualified by your standards to be president and he was a Muslim would you vote for him, and if not why?

my answer is OF COURSE YES, because if I thought he was qualified his religion doesn't matter.
A lot of people think we have already elected a Muslim president in 2008.

Seriously though Muslims want to kill us.....There Koran says so. We are infidels. Be a Muslim or be dead. When are you Libs going to get that in your mind? The only reason they don't do it now is because there are not enough of them in this country...Just remember one thing they are the fastest growing religion on the world.

I would say it is more bigoted to ignore the facts. What would a country be like under Muslim leadership? Just examine any of the select Nations of the world under Muslim leadership right now! Leaders of the Free World?
