CNN is the only network I watch, because I can't stand MSNBC or FOXNews.
That is exactly how I feel.

I really do enjoy Morning Joe on MSNBC, but the rest of the shows are garbage and simply a left wing version of Fox.

IMHO CNN is slightly left. Among the cable news channels, there are the most fair and balanced, as such I watch them mostly. I do miss former anchor TJ Holmes. I can do without Peirs Morgan.

    nonsense!

MSNBC gives a conservative a 3hr show 5 days a week - Joe Scarborough - and most of his guests tilt right, although I would say they are more in the "fiscal conservative - social liberal" vein that used to be the defining style of northeast Republicans.

Fox News never ever has given a liberal an equivalent voice to that provided by MSNBC to Scarborough. One thing I find quite offensive on Fox is the sexual exploitation of their female personalities, nevermind the blatant bias in almost all of their broadcast. O'Reilly an "independent"?

I was so frustrated from that I blocked CNN channels on my TV when I got home. However, I know CNN can be ok at times, but again, when it gets so close to a Presidential election their journalism standards seem to go out the window.

As far as Fox News Channel, as I often say, when they are reporting the news like they do most of the day, they are truly fair and balanced. Some people seem to confuse the opinion shows for the actual news reporting, and they think Fox is some sort of MSNBC type place where it is 24/7 opinion shows. Watch Fox most of the day, it is showing a fair assessment of what is going on. Now, if you are watching Hannity that is clearly a conservative leaning opinion type show, don’t judge the whole channel because of that. Hannity is the most right leaning there. As for the others: O’Reilly is an independent and it shows; The Five is a mixed bag; Greta Van Susteren is a moderate (I remember when she was on CNN). The only reason Fox is so incredibly successful, is because one, there apparently was a market for fair and balance reporting that wasn’t being filled. Two, those opinion shows weren’t being showed anywhere else.
I agree with your assessment. O'Reilly is my favorite by far. I find him to be very fair, more than most. I watch some CNN, some Fox, never MSNBC.

I have to agree that while I think O'Reilly leans right, he is pretty fair. I may not agree with him a lot of the time, but he certainly doesn't hold back when it is necessary to stick it to the right.

I will admit that I generally don't watch Fox news much though.

I think CNN was far more liberal when Ted Turner owned and ran it...when he sold it, cnn went more to the middle and tried to maintain a professional air in reporting without the entertainment factor of Fox or MSNBC...that proved to be wrong and their ratings just died people want to be entertained, foxnews proves that...Soledad Obrien is a leftwinger no doubt, but she has never been as blatant as she has been lately...this may be by intent to jazz up the network and make it more entertaining.

So it seems to be the opinion of the "Independents", Conservatives and Libertarians that Soledad O'Brian is some radical leftist. Why does calling out rightie lies equate to being a leftie?
