The mayor actually has to call her out on it.

I don't really think one can consider the entirety of a news network based on a single interview.
Also, we need to legalize recreational drugs and prostitution.

Well, that interview was demonstrative of unique situations where the anchors could gang-up on a guest and provide group-think. The biases carry over through the network, but not usually like that.

    Re: Is CNN left-wing biased?

I'm not sure about bias, and I am not sure this question makes much sense. It suggests that there are always two equally valid viewpoints on a story.

But that's not true. Often, one side simply tells lies, falsehoods and propaganda, and the other is right. There are not always two equally valid viewpoints. Sometimes, there is just one true and one wrong viewpoint.

When a news station does not investigate and check the facts, it's simply bad journalism. The media and public sphere is supposed to check the government. When it simply takes sides, that's bad journalism.

When, for example, Bush claimed Iraq had WMD (an obvious lie everybody who did the slightest bit of investigation would have known), and a news station did not call him on it, that means bad journalism. When it calls Bush on it, that doesn't mean "left bias", but good journalism. Likewise, when the Obama government tells factually wrong propaganda about Obamacare, and the news station does not call Obama on it, that's bad journalism. When it does, that does not mean "right bias".

When a news station replaces analysis of a topic with cheap talking points and simplifying propaganda either for or against it, that's simply bad journalism.

I get CNN Europe, MSNBC Europe and BBC over here. From what I can tell, CNN and MSNBC are mostly crap, while BBC is much better.

CNN is well known to be a Democratic Party mouthpiece. 15 years ago or so it was nicknamed the Clinton News Network

    This.
It's a decent news source, I keep CNN Money on my phone.

With that said, a lot of their stories are populist in nature and could be considered to tilt left.
Not so much that it would compromise their integrity though.

    It's just my observation.

I think Fox News comes off more biased than it actually is because everything else is so horribly slanted to the left. I don't personally watch cable news very often but I find Fox News' news programs cover everything and gives a relatively appropriate amount of coverage to stories whereas MSNBC and CNN's are willing to under cover, over cover, or downright ignore stories depending on who it favors.

I end up getting most of my news from what is probably the single most liberal source in the country, The New York Times.

The problem is that individual reporting can be scrutinized for more hinted biases on level with CNN, but it is that the themes of the day in the reporting carry on straight through the networks more op-ed programs. It turns it into the same points being discussed at different angles, but with strikingly similar conclusions.

Well my thought process on that is they set the standard for biased IMO

nobody does it better, MSNBC tries to be a biased as them but its not as good it seems forced and cheezy biased, Fox has it perfected.

I gave them an 11 the way I would give Magic Johnson an 11 for point guard, yeah theres The Big O and John Stockton, and Bob Cousy, and isiah thomas, and soon to be Payton, Kidd and Nash etc but there will just never be a Magic probably ever again.

I thought that same thing, I dont see how CNN is even in the running for top dog?!?!

I can see if people want to argue over MSNBC and FOX though

I guess it doesnt matter to much as long as people admit, ALL PEOPLE, admit that MSNBC and FOX are without a doubt very biased and if you cant see that then you are biased yourself one way or another.
