Not at the expense of innocent human life, particularly when so many of those lives will be squandered in search of a justifiable outcome.

Well, of course, if you kill people to further research, that isn't justified. If you create an embryo for the purpose of research, that is pretty questionable. If you use one that has been aborted already, or one that was created via in vitrio and is left over, why not use it instead of discarding it?

This is one of the great ethical debates of our day.

Would you support or oppose stem cell research?
    I'd support it either way.

I support stem cell research...with sincere and proper ethical considerations and conventions.

I do not support taxpayer financing for any kind of stem cell research.

Adult stem cell research doesn't have near the potential that embryonic stem cell research has. That's why I put the question as a hypothetical.

I support stem cell research as well. There is so much potential for it.

I'd rather new embryos aren't created, but I don't think they are doing that to begin with, so it's all fine and dandy.

I am no expert but from what I understand the "viability" of adult stem cell research (if thats the correct phrase) is minimal compared to embryonic research. I hope I am making myself understood. This is an area I am a novice in.

Let's see, creating life saving/enhancing cures for crippling diseases and conditions or let embryos go to the garbage?
I'm gonna go with the former, rather than the later.
