It depends on the lie. People have said I have black hair. This is a lie. I have very dark brown hair. No problem.

People say I am a liberal. Well kinda and I might correct them depending on the subject matter.

People say because I am ethnic I am a traitor and a white supremecist. BULL****. I will call them out on this with everything I have and damn the consequences.

    So it depends

I was being sarcastic and referring to the debate. People don't tell a lot of lies about me but I'd think I'd usually let it slide unless it's meant to tarnish my image. But in a debate I'd correct everything untrue.

You would be spending the entire time doing that instead of getting your message out. This may end up with you losing supporters because they see you rather than your opponent as argumentative

Would depend on the lie and who said it.

I think we should first define "lie".

If I were Romney or Obama, I would answer: "That is not true." Or "You have completely distorted my position." If I could quickly explain, I would. Otherwise, I would say, "Folks, all you have to do is go to MittRomney.com and click on Foreign Policy. You will see what I advocate. And it is absolutely not what President Obama has just described. I don't want to waste anymore time refuting untruths; I would rather be able to respond to the question myself, so . . . and I would give my own response to the question at hand. "

In my personal life, the few times someone has asked me about gossip they've heard, my reply has been, "Hahahaha!!! You've got to be kidding! That is such a lie. Good Lord!!!" No explanation provided. No further discussion.
The devil whispered in my ear, "You cannot withstand the storm." I whispered back, "I am the storm."

A is a no-brainer. I then ask myself why the false remark was made. If there were negative intentions behind it then I'll confront then, rather than just correct them.
