Simple. Obama's campaign has taken on the defense of the tiny margin. Obama is winning the election, but he's doing it on thin ice. His campaign is trying to preserve the lead it has rather than open it up on Romney. His debate performance was just that. Conserve the lead, do not try to expand it. This generally fails in politics and fails on the field (unless it's basketball, then bets are off). This isn't basketball where you can run the clock down and win.

The failure is on Obama and his campaign. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Obama & his lack of preparation. Plain and simple imo.

    I just figured it out.

    It was his wedding anniversary.

He must have ****ed the living **** out of Michelle and was simply too tired to debate.

I mean he did seem pretty tired

    Obama (not prepared, etc)

Romney (he didn't show proper respect and/or too aggressive)

Screw you, X, Obama did great.

I voted for the altitude just for the lols.

In think Biden is to blame because I think that he coached Obama for the debate. It will be verified if it is so after we see him and paul ryan head it off in 2 days.

obama totally Under estimated Romney, as if he himself believed Romney incapable of having an intelligent Debate, while
he, obama , was Under prepared and seemed over confident in his ability to Just be there and win the debate.

    No vote, as usual
Children play the "blame game", as usual
I'd like to think that our President is setting a "trap" for Romney....risky....risky...
IMO, it will be horrible for our nation if Romney becomes the new face of America.

Re: Who/What's to Blame for Obama's Poor Debate Performance?

I picked all the options except for Obama out of force of habit. For four years, everyone and everything has been responsible except, bingo, President Obama. He's blamed the Republicans, the Tea Party supporters, the lazy blacks, Americans in general, conservative veterans, corporations, businesses, religious people, rich people, and taxpayers but don't worry, he still has a few scapegoats to go. For the debate, he has the altitude, Lehrer not helping him out, and his horrible work load and late tee time.
