Dion is my given name and my mother is from a foreign country ... hence the unusual name. I realize in this country it is ususally used for male gender.
Your post was funny though if I had been male ... as Gipper is such a womanizer!

I'd say the same lack of information is at work with a lot of bad decisions people make about their health or the health of someone they are responsible for: they can't accept (or don't know) what life will be like if they have that surgery, get that chemotherapy, continue the pregnancy of the doomed child, etc.
I can recall, years ago, people getting roasted alive by the community for taking an elderly parent off life support. It takes time for attitudes and knowledge to be processed and even longer for emotions to catch up. This is sort of like people who won't agree to donate their organs on their driver's license, because they fear if they do, doctors will kill them.
I do not think most Americans support euthanasia today, but half the population will be over age 65 by 2050. I imagine long before then, it'll be the law of the land.
You should hook up with him. He'd appreciate it.Originally Posted by Dion

I voted other. I view health and wellness and encompassing the mind, body, spirit and emotions.
Physically: I am not overweight, I do not smoke, I do not drink often (maybe a few times per year), I have asthma and allergies, I have very very low blood pressure (usually 95/50), I drink a lot of coffee.
Mentally: I do not have any mental disorders. I struggle with certain issues but this is the norm for everyone in my opinion, we all have things in our mental health that we deal with regularly.
I am in pharmacy school and have an extremely heavy course load coupled with a part time job and required clinical rotations/lab sessions. I average about 4-5 hours of sleep per night and I have insomnia. I have very little free time and on some days I do not have time to eat meals on some days (on Thursdays my school schedule is literally full classes from 7-12 with a clinical rotation starting at 12 and lasting until 4 that I must show up 20 minutes late for. I do not eat breakfast or lunch on Thursday and sometimes munch on something in my car if I have it). I have to study hard to keep above a 3.5 GPA so that I can qualify for a residency once I graduate with a Pharm.D. so I cannot "slack" off like some of my peers who merely want to graduate and pass their board exams. I have much stress in my mind but I deal with it, I also take time to help others as much as possible. I also haven't been on a vacation in 4 years
I voted other due to me having physical conditions that I cannot control like asthma and allergies and due to heavy and busy schedules that I also cannot control. However, I think that I deal with it all appropriately most of the time.
