What do you think? if you were voting for Obama prior to the debate did you change your mind and will now vote for Romney?

though he wore a moderate mask instead of his severely conservative mask, no. i still don't support his trickle down domestic policies or his hawkish foreign policies.

I think neither candidate came out of that debate with a cracking enough performance to do the following:

A: Bring people over from the other side

B: Make independents choice any easier.

Although having said that I felt that Romney did far better than I thought he would.

Mitt Romney did good, but yeah, what Jetboogieman said.

I have to give credit to Obama for meeting Romney's family. That must have been awkward.

I was going to vote 3rd Party, and nobody changed my mind last night.

They were talking about deficits but never got into the wars as an impact on the deficit.. Two hawks equals war without taxes. Let the children pay for it, dam it.

No. And here's why. Although Romney did very well, said some important things, made points that I agree with completely, his message last night was not HIS message.
With a few exceptions, his points were not conservative or Republican. He basically agreed with almost everything the President has done but says they were not completely correct. WHA????

So he goes on national TV and plays a moderate/centrist Republican (damn near Democrat) and I'm supposed to believe what he said, after months and months of stating the opposite? No, I'm sorry Mr. Romney but I'm not buying it. If your message from the beginning was what you put forth last night, I'd have to really think about my voting direction.

The scary part of last night.... the Tea Party people are not screaming to high heaven about his statments of what he would do and how he would do them. His message last night was VERY far from their message.

Once again, Mitt's lying. The question is to who?

i'm sure it would be quite simple to compile a video of every statement that he made last night and to contrast it with something else he has said at some point in the campaign. i was flabbergasted several times. have to hand it to him; he can play to an audience, and Obama failed to effectively call him on his shifts in policy.

I AM voting third party. I dont think the debates are targeted to people seeking to change their minds. They are targeted at people that havent decided and they are meant to get their base excited. Judging solely by the partisan responses, that round was an unmitigated failure for Obama.

I did go into the debate willing to change my mind. It's just that nobody did that.

I voted for Obama 4 years ago, and up until the "47%" debacle I was going to vote for Romney. So I figured I would give them both a chance to win me back. Didn't happen last night.

So you were one o the independents that the debates do target. It really is more a salesman job than anything else.

I'm not sure what anyone was expecting. We talked about his a few days ago. Obama delivers prepared comments like nobodies business, but when he has to speak off the cuff he is the charter member of Hogwarts new house of Stumblebum.

Which is what it felt like last night. Mitt was mostly better at sticking to his script and keeping the big O on defense.

I have to ask why you think it was awkward for Obama to meet with the Romney family? I have seen this statement from a couple of people. It doesn't seem to me that Romney hates the Obama's or Vice versa. I see this as a typical political race where they will sling mud every chance they get and the best person wins. I have doubts that these two professionals harbor ill will towards one another. JMO, not trying to be critical of your opinion I really would like to know why you think that.

I'm pretty sure that they don't hate each other, but undoubtedly their families have taken notice of all the mud slinging. Considering how feirce this election has been, I'd just imagine that it would be weird to meet the family of your opponet.

Maybe I'm wrong. They all seemed pretty happy.

Obama called him out on it a couple of times, but did not deliver the message with any "oomph" to make it stick, with the exception of once.
The Presidents line "Five weeks before the election his big bold idea is, 'Never mind.'"

Problem is, the President seemed to get a few late starts off the block but failed to follow through. There were a couple times I thought, "OK here we go, now he's going to show us what he's got" then fizzle, fazzle, look down at the podium.....

No way Jose. If for nothing else, I support the Supreme court justices that Obama would pick over what Romney would pick. I support making the court lean left rather than right.

So you don't care if the economy goes down the tube and unemployment is off the charts under Obama...Got it.

I supported Obama and I still do the debate made Romney look like even worse of a candidate.

So where are these 8 people who voted yes, that the debates changed their minds... I wanna hear from them.. cause not one of them spoke up and explained why.

The month that Obama became president the economy lost over 800,000 jobs. Did you care about that???

Sure I did and with 23, 000,000 Americans without jobs Obama has made it ten times worse.............

Did you watch the debate? If you did you would not have to ask that question.

How many people were without jobs when Bush was president?
