So where are these 8 people who voted yes, that the debates changed their minds... I wanna hear from them.. cause not one of them spoke up and explained why.
Am I not destroying my enemies when I make friends of them?
    - Abraham Lincoln

Before the war is ended, the war party assumes the divine right to denounce and silence all opposition to war as unpatriotic and cowardly.
    - Robert M. LaFollette, Wisconsin Governor and U.S. Senator

God, how patient are Thy poor! These corporations and masters of manipulation in finance heaping up great fortunes by a system of legalized extortion,
and then exacting from the contributors--to whom a little means so much--a double share to guard the treasure!

Did you watch the debate? If you did you would not have to ask that question.

I can't believe the gloating by republicans in this thread. You would think by their remarks that romney won the election last night. All I have to say is that it is not over until the fat lady sings.

There is no doubt in my mind that obama will win and he who laughs last, laughs best.

I doubt there are very many Republicans on this site who think Romney is going to win the election. I myself (since I won't speak for others) am really proud of the way he presented himself. Finally, he's been able to get his message across to a large audience without media spin spinnin' it every which way through their digestive tract. It was refreshing.

I was also glad to see that President Obama had an off day. (I'll call it that, since I fully expect his handlers are going to beat the daylights out of him in preparation for the next debate.) In the McCain/Obama debates, Obama came off as a condescending jerk, in my opinion. Every response saw him looking at McCain with a deprecating smile on his face that was quite irritating. No such thing here.
The devil whispered in my ear, "You cannot withstand the storm." I whispered back, "I am the storm."

It was "refreshing" because some people want to swallow the propoganda and lies without someone pointing out the deceit in it. Have you even bothered to research for yourself, Maggie, the number of lies that Romney told last night? He openly lied about not wanting to cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans, where for months he has been talking about it. I guess that's why they say "Ignorance is bliss".

He has always always said he intends to lower all tax brackets, including the tops ones, in addition to getting rid of or limiting deductions that they are allowed to take. He has never varied from that message. It is unfortunate that most people either don't understand it or stop listening when he says, "I want to lower all tax brackets, including the top ones . . ." Forgetting, accidentally or on purpose the rest of the message.

I would laugh my ass off if romney won and the first thing he cut was veterans retirement pay and benefits.
