Disney owns the Muppets (including Kermit), but you're right; the Sesame Street characters were sold to CTW before Henson was acquired by Disney.

In any case, with all the merchandising, SW isn't hurting for cash.

The muppets are, but BB aren't. Although Desingned by Hensen the puppets used in Seaseme street had already been sold to Seseame Street Workshop.

Muppet Central News - Disney buys Jim Henson's Muppets and Bear

The transaction does not include the Sesame Street characters, such as Big Bird and Elmo, which are separately owned by Sesame Workshop.

I don't think Disney owns Sesame Street. It owns the Muppets and some other stuff.

Edit: I see you corrected yourself. Never mind.

    Re: Who Won?

    romney looked presidential

he also came out swinging and had Obama on his heels most of the night

still think Obama made better arguments, but i was/am biased toward those (or more precisely, against mitt's) before the debate

since one had to win and the other had to lose, romney won this round

    I'm a schoolboy...technically speaking
Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.
