I could never truly support Morsi based on his ideological positions, especially towards women. That said, he acted in a reasonable manner during the youtube fiasco and chose a fairly neutral response. He wants to distance him from Mubarak by clearly demonstrating his independence from the U.S. while simultaneously avoiding violence and instability. He has the potential to be someone who you don't agree with on many issues, but is practical enough you can work out mutually beneficial deals when needed. Considering the circumstances, that is probably the most we can expect from any potential Egyptian leader at the moment.

So far he has behaved like a reasonable politician would, who is both legitimately concerned for his country's wellbeing and legitimately concerned about his own political future. I don't really have a problem with him, and I think it's good that some Muslim countries are beginning to form governments that are more representative of the wishes of their people.

    I can't. This is important.

It's difficult to say at this point.
    Morsi in a tight bind.
    Egypt is B.R.O.K.E.
He cant pay the countries' debts or even feed his people and would 're-revolted' if he doesn't play ball with us/USA/West.
Call that 'reasonable' if you like.

'Arab Spring' IMO was largely a demographic/economic event and mainly successful in the non-Oil-rich states.
These countries like Egypt, Yemen, Tunisia, etc, basically having screwed themselves into poverty.
That goes for many others too: Pakistan, Gaza, Haiti, etc, are not viable demographically.

I'm personally sick of not being able to dunk a basketball because of racism.

Too early to tell. He refuses to refer to the US as an "ally", which gives me bad vibes about the future of the treaty brokered by the US between Egypt and Israel along with the fact that we have been one of Egypt's most important... and lucrative... allies for many, many years. He is also unwilling to label the US as an "enemy", which would align himself with the more Islamist factions in the ME.

He's trying to ride a bucking, electrical fence. He'll either get thrown, or tame the beast. I'm not sure which will happen, but it could be a major game-changer down the road for several countries in the region.

You do understand he calls for the genocide of the christian communities in Egypt right? Not him personally, not now... but during the campaign, yes. Now he has other cronies who do it for him, and he doesn't address it...

That is complete bull****. Morsi has never called for the genocide of anyone.

Even with him putting a christian as his advisor, lets face it... he has done little to nothing to stop the spree of attacks on christian communities. The discrepancy between his words and his deeds is very, very high.
