Yes, the Republican party was dumb to have him
No, the Republican party was smart to have him
We were all fooled and take this too seriously
Clint Eastwood for President
COMEDY 4 ALL! it's a life Philosophy.
Chuck Norris once got bit by a king cobra. after five days of agonizing pain, the cobra died!
Anyone who thinks that Clint Eastwood is senile for his empty chair skit needs to have THEIR head examined...
What has the government done for them? What would it do if they were taxed more? The 47% comment was asinine political suicide, a total disconnect with reality. Almost everyone would gladly take an elevator in their mcmansion garage in exchange for paying some pittance to the fed. This kind of insulting question that you ask is definitely not going to win elections.
The rest of your questions are legit, with exception of at least 1 is genocidal, so gonna skip those.
I liked it... Older people have a tougher time of communicating and timing so respect the guy and give him a break so he can tell you a thing or two.
I found it incredibly uncomfortable to watch, not particularly funny, not particularly enlightening, and wondered who had thought it was a good idea to give someone with the creative capacity of Eastwood unvetted free time on national tv. He was obviously improvising, leaving dead time while he worked his next gag in his mind, made the audience squirm... not in a good way.
Don't get me wrong, I admire Eastwood for his talent and creativity, although it was sadly lacking at the GOP speech. But cripes, he's Hollywood for heaven sake... you know, the "Hollywood" that Romney ads now lambast as Obama's Stepford Buffoons. Eastwood is right. The GOP invited him to speak, didn't bother to find out what in hell he would say, and counted on the "famous celebrity WOW factor" without bothering to research the well-known fact that Eastwood is nobody's lackey, cannot be controlled, and would basically give a big F.U. to anyone, republican or democrat, who didn't like what he had to say.
All I can say is that the GOP "fought the law and the law won".
