Should this man be convicted of parole violation(s)

That is the question. Is a possible attempt being made to punish him gor making the film offensive to Islamist? I think what he did was deplorable nut do notbthink he violated his parole by making the film.

A man has the right to be insensitive/stupid.
IMO, the crimes are being committed by the Islamics and their lunatic fringe - both....
However, we should not expect these stone age people to be civilized .... another 1000 years - maybe....

If he's guilty of a parole violation, sure. Whether guilty or innocent, the case should be treated as any other from a legal standpoint.

If he is guilty of violating the conditions of his parole then sure he should be convicted. He should not be arrested for simply making a film.He is not responsible for the actions of terrorist and other Islamofacists. Those scumbags were just using the film as excuse for their violence.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

I don't even think it has to be seen as being that much - I can easily imagine a bunch of disgruntled teens who were born into a warring society chomping at the bit to start some **** and set some fires and cause problems because that's all they know and were born into.

I don't think they're somehow more deep or profound as people than any of our dumb****s here in the states - some people just cause **** . . . and will continue to do so unless enacted upon with equal and opposing force. Therein lies the issue; no one over there is interested in stopping any of it. . . until they take it too far.

Re: Should this man be convicted of parole violation(s)

If he is actually the Sam Bascille (sp) that made the film, then he has violated his parole by using an alias. If not, he is not in violation of anything.
