Thats funny because you have changed your lean twice since you've been on DP. Not including your intial registered lean.

Re: Have Any of Your Views Changed Since Being a Member of DP?

My views about gay marriage have changed due to this website. I now view gay marriage as a freedom issue, though I don't agree with it personally. Users such as Redress and Your Star influenced that.
I also have completely flipped my view of our foreign policy. But that is much more predicated on the fact that I have had time to decompress from deploying over and over and have had the repercussions of those deployments hit me physically and mentally than anything that anyone has said on this website. By mentally I mean that I have had time to reflect on why exactly I lost the guys that I lost and I can't find a good reason for it. Dealing with that tends to make you hate warmongering politicians and the policies they enact.

Yeah, after the string of lesbian SCOTUS appointments by Obama, we need some more conservative judges. Like John Roberts.

I said Yes, A Little, but it's very little. The urgency with which I feel the global economy will collapse has mellowed out slightly.

    Guess that's about it.

I can't think of any specific POV I have changed because I am on DP, but I have been informed and challenged by the reading and interaction here. I've had some factual errors corrected and I've developed a fondness for people who don't agree with me, but still take the time to dispute an issue respectfully.

You've never been rude to me, MarineT. I think, to a degree, it's a matter of getting what you give.

My views have changed, although I'm not sure if I've led anyone to changing theirs with my debates or arguments. I think most people are set in their ways and set in their thinking and have a filter on that the other side is "evil" or "cannot be right" even though an opposing viewpoint is rational and is the better solution/belief. That's why I think when many people are losing a debate the deflect to "well the GOP/Dems are..." or resort to personal attacks.
