I believe he was born and raised a Mormon that's really not much of a choice.

It was helping everyone...from the poor to the rich.

But, hey...I know you only focus on the rich for your class envy. You are a liberal, after all.

Did I not say I was against the Medicare/Medicaid debacle? I'm pretty sure I did, so I don't understand why this rant was necessary.

Didn't I make it clear that I think outsourcing is bad? Didn't I say I supported a plan that would bring jobs back home?

Outsourcing became an issue in the 80's and has been an issue through today. So no, unemployment has not risen dramatically as a result of outsourcing. Manufacturing has dropped dramatically, taking with it better paying jobs that would have helped drive up the median wage...thank the first Bush for NAFTA and wish you had support Perot.

Well...ya...it is is a tough one because you seem to expect me to generalize what an entire population will do with regards to work when each individual has a unique set of skills. Further, it is not my job, nor the job of the government to regulate that...so why should I care?

Yes. In 1982 the top rate was 50% and today it is 35%. Historical Top Tax Rate And, since 1982 the tax burden has shifted to the highest tax bracket having been 55% in 1982 and 69% in 2007. http://www.cbo.gov/sites/default/fil...ity_Shares.pdf

Which corporations are you talking about? American Airlines who is in bankruptcy? GM? Chrysler? To me, this sounds more like a rant against anyone with money rather than a well thought out political/social/economics theory. Further, none of this is related to anything that is being discussed here.

Yes. It is just you. We all blame you and no one else. Are you President Obama?

Well, they are failing and wasting money like no one's business. SS is insolvent and Medicare is blowing up like balloon.

It is? That's news to me.

If you combine Medicare, SS and Welfare, they comprise over 60% of the budget...and lo and behold that's about the same amount of the deficit...huh...go figure.

So you would recommend we keep a failing system?

I prefer Gingrich's idea. You should look into it. Other countries employed it and the need for SS disappeared. People didn't need the government any more.

Since 1982, the top rate has paid higher and higher percentage of the tax burden as a result of their cuts. And, since 1982, the US economy has seen tremendous growth. Had it not been for burdensome taxes on jobs, we would have really had a big boom.

You don't have to, doesn't mean it isn't true.

    You'll what?

Umm...increasing tax liability for the same wages is a tax increase, even if you call it a loop hole.

Politico? Really? And what does a pizza place owner hugging the president have to do with anything?

I should have said 1981 it was 70% now its 35% cut fully in half. The question remains that the more corporations outsource livable wage jobs the more americans are going to need public subsistence to survive.
You didnt address why I as a working american should support Ryans Plan to cut all entitlements and start a voucher opt out program that assures the demise of medicare <by design> and to give ONLY the top 2% and corporations another big tax cut.

I was born and raised Catholic. I am no longer Catholic. Amazing how choices work.
