Actually, it was 69%...but that isn't important, the important part is that you just ignored the fact that the lower the top end rate gets, the greater their share of the tax burden becomes. So if you want to get more money from the rich, cut their taxes.

The question remains that the more corporations outsource livable wage jobs the more americans are going to need public subsistence to survive.

You didnt address why I as a working american should support Ryans Plan to cut all entitlements and start a voucher opt out program that assures the demise of medicare <by design> and to give ONLY the top 2% and corporations another big tax cut.
Why should we fix Medicare? Are you kidding? Grim news on Social Security and Medicare, but who's listening? - Chicago Tribune

I thought everyone knew Medicare and Social Security are on the down and out. Would you rather continue to blast straight ahead into total government failure or fix what we have now (with some pain involved) to insure the governments viability? The biggest problem with our health care system is third party payers (i.e. government and insurance). So, Romney is adopting the bipartisan Ryan-Wyden plan. Medicare | Mitt Romney for President

How rich is "not that rich", exactly?

Harry Reid was born in a shack with no plumbing, spent about 5 minutes in the private sector, and makes a Senate salary of less than $200,000.
He also has a net worth of more than $5 million dollars. The shrieking leftists seem to have a problem with Romney's wealth and the manner in which it was acquired, does anyone wonder where all Reid's money came from? Yeah, I didn't think so. How many houses does Reid own?

Then we have Nancy Pelosi, who made as much as $5 million dollars on outsourcing just last year. If you lefties want to hate on capitalism, investing, and offshoring, you really should look into Pelosi and her husband. LOTS to complain about there. How many houses does she own?

Then we have Debbie Wasserman Schultz, flaming hypocrite and compulsive liar (and therefore a model Democrat), who has money in Swiss bank Accounts and invests overseas!!! GASP!!! How many houses does she own?

Personally speaking, I couldn't possibly care less how many houses any of them own. If they are successful, good for them. Wealth is a GOOD thing, something to work towards, not something to be hated and envied.

In The Real World you don't get a shiny "participant" sticker, there are winners and losers.
The winners are out there busting their humps and getting ahead. The losers are whining and complaining.

I wanted to give you a like. But I wasn't too sure if you yourself are not a partisan hack. That is the problem with this country. Somehow politics divides us when both sides screw the ENTIRE country. It just makes no sense to me. To an outsider he or she is probably thinking we are all insane cause it makes no sense.

Education does not necessarily equate to a degree. Only those with well developed skills and knowledge are well equipped to succeed. Some will achieve success by dumb luck, but it's hard to argue that Bill Gates didn't have exposure to educational resources in and out of school that aided in his ability to develop, market, and successfully sell millions of computers using his OS.

I am...I am conservative and vote Libertarian. I left the GOP because of Bush and the wreckless spending the GOP has engaged in. I fault Bush for his failings post war in both Iraq and Afghanistan. I believe in healthcare reform at the state level, allowing states to set their own laws regarding drug legalization. I expect the states to manage their own fiscal needs and believe all government social spending with the exception of SS should be ended. I believe all foreign financial aid should be terminated and that money should be reinvested in US agro assets, farming, textiles, canning, etc and that biproduct should be used for Americas poor and foreign assistance. I believe immigration reform is a must. I bang on Obama because he has actually BEEN the president for 4 years. I dont go after Romney so much because a-I would never vote for him and b-I cant imagine he will EVER be president. There are a ton of reasons to NOT support the guy but primarily, I dont trust a word that comes out of his mouth. So...yeah...I will vote pretty much straight third party candidates. I reckon that makes me a hack.

If there is any group balking at Romney's oddball religion it is the evangelists not the Dems. Calling Romney a generous philanthropist for paying his tithe is going too far though.

You sound more like a "Bircher" than a hack. You are right about Romney though, he's a 2 faced loser.

He cant even remain constant on his main selling point...the repeal of Obamacare. If he had an ounce of integrity he would simply tout 'Romneycare' as a model for states to pursue, individually, if they choose. Instead, he caves on issues based on nothing but political expediency.
