In 900 plus pages Smith says once that there are things the wealthy should pay for. He did not say they should pay for most things.
The founders were brilliant men. But they were just men. They got many things right and a few things wrong. They provided a compromise that managed to hold the beast at bay for a very long time. But the beast is here now. If it cannot be tamed then, to quote Jefferson, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
I see that time coming. It will not be a civil war. It will be revolution again.
Only this time we may not be so fortunate as to have a George Washington around to save us from ourselves.

He can. And he did. If you are influenced by Christianity without being able to recite its doctrines in Latin how much more was he influenced given that he can recite the call to prayers, the pledge of allegiance to Islam in Arabic without being influenced?
