    I would go one of two ways on this one, assuming I didn't walk away from the job....

    Option 1 is, just like I have an e-mail account specifically for spam, I could make a FB specifically for employers to see. I could tell them I don't care of they look at it because I never use it...which would explain the low number of friends. I could make it into a sort of a resume', and since only references would go on a resume' I would only 'friend' my references.

    Option 2 is just delete my FB.

    Some background checks are just that thorough. Seriously.

    And I don't think companies should be allowed to use the substances in our bodies as hiring criteria. They should be able to hire/fire based on performance. If someone is lazy/impaired at work, boom they are fired.

    i agree. if someone is intoxicated or impaired on the clock, that's a problem. if somebody has a beer after work, that's absolutely none of the employer's business.
