Why do I get a feeling this poll isnt going the way he intended :)

Worst "fantasy" poll ever.

Where are the other options?

I can think of at least 6, maybe more options that should be included on this poll.

Not to mention "I will not vote at all" and "other" for write-in considerations.

Huntsman
Bachmann
Gingrich
H. Clinton
Perry
Santorum
Trump
Nader
Johnson

??????????

What about the Cain train!?

Hop aboard the Cain train!

I'm really curious who Cpwill thinks is holding his leash. He seemed to consider it a pretty good reason for voting for him over Obama. I'm surprised he hasn't answered already -- he had to know that somebody on this forum would ask him that.

I thought I did. The conservative movement, best represented by the Tea Party, holds the leash.

See, my voting booth fantasy is when I walk out the door, instead of a sticker saying I voted, I would instead receive a massive blueberry muffin.

My fantasy would involve Selma Hayek and some physical interaction of an intimate nature. As a reward for voting of course.....

Voter intimidation "done right"? :D

Actually, no. I'm busy starting other threads trying to raise awareness. Paul has pretty much given up and so the enthusiasm has dwindled sIt has even been suggested that Paul didn't really want to be president because he knew if he did get elected, he would be assassinated.

You take information from Alex Jones? Awesome.

I never mentioned alex jones. In fact, I try to steer clear from sourcing my info there since whenever his name comes up, it appears the general consensus doesn't take him seriously. Although I'm not of that general consensus, I don't think I've ever used info from him as a source in any of my posts on DP. Always try to verify the info no matter where it's from and then be sure you don't reject information because it disturbs your reality bubble. I find a lot of people here tend to have that problem.

Ron Paul isn't even the Libertarian candidate...Gary Johnson is and that is who gets my vote.

Well, I had a hard time finding anyone who wasn't Alex Jones' interview laying the groundwork for the hint that Ron Paul was receiving death threats and that contributed to his ending moments for the campaign. Excuse me for suggesting that this sounds unrealistic and that the only person promoting the idea believed the U.S. Government perpetrated 9/11.

Lol.....this comedy never ends....

you have him confused with Colin Powell
and in the interest of clarity, it was Alma Powell, not Colin, who was fearful he would be assassinated

Paul. Obama doesn't deserve another term, and Romney is not the solution. All Paul supporters who vote Romney will receive a major shock if Romney is elected.

It is unkind of me to point out that Ron Paul is NOT running for President?

If we're just fantasizing, I suggest Specklebang for President. He's 10 times smarter than any of the 2 clowns being offered. If not Specklebang, how about Johnson. At least he's on the ballot.

(like returning to the gold standard) are a recipe for disaster economically.

-Unless I'm mistaken, the gold standard is what prevented them from being able to just print more money as long as they had ink and paper, as well as preventing loans that were just created by entering a few numbers into a computer and then sit back and watch the payments roll in. The gold standard made it so that, monetarily speaking, everything was tangible. The disaster came about after the gold standard was done away with.

The people should file a class-action lawsuit against the banks: Show proof that they have assets and hard cash greater than or equal to the amount of loans they have out. If they can't, all loans are nullified.

... which will never happen, because then every single loan would be nullified -- which is secondary to the fact that the suit would have no basis whatsoever in law.

If I had to pick from the three listed I would choose Ron Paul. I would prefer Gary Johnson for social issues, just because he seems to lean farther left than Dr. Paul.

1. Obama is destructive
2. Paul is insane
3. Romney will at least do what he is told

Clinton did what he was told to do by watching polls and that worked economically but we need an actual leader. The public was against pursuing terrorism so Clinton dropped the ball on that.

Maybe getting off the gold standard was the wrong move when it happened, but a return to it would result in absolute financial panic as most Americans watch their savings dwindle to a fraction of what they were.

The result would be chaos and disaster on many different levels.
