Orators who are that good are actually - you know - able to convince people of things.
Well your right hes not a GREAT ORATOR...but were not talking about giving a speech...were talking about debates...where they are asked direct questions and have to either give a direct answer or tapdance and do the hulahoop in front of millions of americans....no great oratory skills needed for either of them

On the contrary, that is where your oratorical skills are needed most. Obama is "good" at giving prepared speeches. He is not so "good" at off-the-cuff.

Worship? No. But I - like many Democrats - greatly respect the man for what he has done, and I think Joe Biden reminds me of the kind of guy who insists on sitting next to you in the train so he can tell you about the squirrels in his lawn.

I'm not sure if that is more of a dream or a reality, but I'm leaning heavily towards a dream. I think its a magical thought to think the men and women that choose to join the military ranks will not simply gun us down if ordered to do so, and I can't think of any sort of substantial history to back up these claims they wouldn't. The truth is the government would jail and kill them if they said no and I doubt they are unaware of such truths. I think as soon as any sort of problems arose our men and women would start getting jailed and charged with treason and in no time flat the problems would simply disappear in the military ranks.

We that make up the military take an oath which includes “I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic”. This means that if someone in a high office shows themselves to be an enemy of the constitution that the military has a duty to the people first and foremost over any illegal order.
I just don't see this making any sort of difference at all. Oaths themselves have never shown themselves to be anything more than words.

considering Romney has as much personality as a brick I would say Obama to win.

There is also the a famously accurate poll model that predicts Presidential winners having romny as winning in nov...using thier model they have been 100% accurate since 1980 in predicting the winner.

Analysis of election factors points to Romney win, University of Colorado study says | University of Colorado Boulder

Do you believe Obama or Romney will win in Nov....I still believe the debates can turn the tide and firmly place the winner, however, going into the debates Romny/Ryan have a clear edge.
    Obama will win.

For one, not enough conservatives like Romney enough to really support him.

For another, even though unemployment remains at 8%, I don't think enough American people will be able to sympathize with Romney over the foreclosures and job losses, especially considering that Wall Street gets bail outs but working people lose their homes, their health benefits, and their retirement fund.

So I think Obama is going to win the next election.
Also, we need to legalize recreational drugs and prostitution.

Bachman was a bit nutty and Cain didn't belong on the stage. Perry was the guy who was horrible at debates, though. Romney simply wasn't as good as Gingrich. Which is to say, he wasn't as good as one of the greatest public debaters currently speaking. Gingrich's problem isn't that he isn't smart or can't think on his feet - it is that he is a hypocrite, flighty, and tends to become a bombastic demagogue.

As for Romney v Obama; I see that coming out as probably a tie. Either might make a major slip-up, but you can't plan on either doing so. Both men have run tightly disciplined campaigns, and will probably continue to do so.

and yes you give the aura you worshop paul ryan
No. the only entity worthy of worship is God.

On the contrary, I have criticized Ryan for supporting the original auto bailouts and for failing to push forward support for Social Security reform. It's just that, among our political class, Ryan is the best that we currently have when it comes to avoiding our looming fiscal crises.

Sorry, it's just frustrating that everybody thinks there is a choice. Romney is a fraudulent nominee. Both him and Obama are threats to our livelihood. Everybody is so duped by the media, it's sickening.
