Oh, come on, Haymarket. Really? The beginning of the end? That's all it takes? Romney in the White House? I don't even think that about Obama and I know he's determined to move us closer to socialism. The odds of Republicans getting a majority in both houses is remote. Thankfully, the same can be said about Democrats.

It'll be all right, Haymarket, You'll see.

I am assuming that a Romney victory will also allow the GOP to capture the Senate and hold onto the House. I then assume that there will be enough Democrats in the Senate like Manchin of WV who will demonstrate a complete lack of spine and refuse to play hardball against the Republicans.

What we have seen happen in states like Michigan, Wisconsin and Ohio when the GOP right wing captures the entire state govt mechanism will then happen on a federal level. They will repeal much of the political reforms of the 20th century in a drive to take America back to the Gilded Age.

It indeed will be the beginning of the end.

FDR put out the open for business sign on corporate fascism and both major parties have found business booming.

Then the people will rebel and the rebellion will be squashed by our banana republic military, which was instituted by nixon. It's all part of the master plan to make slavery legal again.

Re: Who do you believe will win in Nov

This is a hard question to answer. If people on mass vote on the economy plus the fact that Obama was hired to fix it and did not, than I would say that Romney would win. Romney would not win because he is the best man for the job (as in the primaries) he would win because Obama did not do what he was hired to do (fix the economy).

If Obama is successful in convincing people that Romney is a rich fat cat that wants to steal your money, kill your grandma, impregnate you, give you cancer, make black people slaves again, and send your job overseas than Obama will win. And there are a lot of people out there that will believe that.

So itís a toss-up on whether people are angry that Obama did not fix the economy, or if people are afraid of Romney.

Really now? FDR was the one who stopped fascism from overtaking America. He saved democracy and capitalism.

The people might rebel..... or reality TV will seduce them to not care too much as long as the cable is working and the drinks are flowing. The right wing wants to repeal most of the 20th century and they have already captured the Republican party as part of their strategy. Right Libertarians realized they were never going to amount to more than a pimple on the ass of the body politic trying to get elected as Libertarians so they have abandoned their party and have taken over the GOP.

Great strategy........... for them. Bad strategy........... for the American people.

I'm not sure, recently Romney has been gaining in the polls and I would hope that this trend continues into November. I would much prefer that Romney wins, but for me it's too early to give a prediction.

I tend to agree with the statement that you have made but I would change one big thing. It is not just the right, libertarians, and the republicans it is the entire political system that has been corrupted. We the people need to pay more attention to what is going on and get more active in the process. The people need to audit the government. A government should always fear the people not the other way around.
