A lot of people have been wondering how Romney can get the Hispanic vote. Well this is how.

He can deport all Hispanic illegal immigrants to California, and then sell California to Mexico. Immigrants get to live in the wealthiest state of the union, Democrats get to say we paid war reparations for the Mexican-American War, and Republicans get rid of the bluest state of the union from Congress as well as Hollywood's liberal celebrity influence.

It's a win-win-win situation. What's the problem?

Could you strike a blow against pollution at the same time by waving that same magic wand and giving all of us the ability to fly like a bird?

With Hispanic illegal immigrants working in California's environmentalist R+D labs, anything is possible.

I like the idea.California is attracting as many illegals as possible and most of those illegals are Mexican citizens .But we would have to sell California at a discount or barter some land to Mexico seeing how California is billions of dollars in debt, and Mexico is broke. After we sell California to Mexico we impose a high tariff on Mexican goods.

Trade debt for debt, everyone goes home happy.

And make it that much easier for people to seek across the border by enlarging it over areas that are especially challenging to defend?

Dems would never support it, because it would kill a crap load of electoral votes, while turning new border states into toss-ups or right-leaning areas.

If the Mexican state we trade for is not that much in debt it will be a win win for us.

Then Romney wins the election. Immigrants will get mad at Democrats for not caring about them.

I'm fairly certain the illegality of secession goes both ways. If a state can't leave the union, then the union can't leave the state.

The premise of this thread is so ridiculously stupid I can feel my neurons begging me to close the window.

Is there a law stating that the union can't leave the state?

I'm not familiar with this either. Pasch seems to be making a brutal assertion.

The "problem" is California would eventually become identical to Mexico. The only significant change that would take place would be that our border agents would have to secure the West on top of the South and the North.

Wait. California is not already part of Mexico?

The problem with Daktoria is that he read a Modest Proposal and thought it was an excellent piece of public policy.

Hell, I'll throw Washington and Oregon in on the deal. Let Canada deal with the wetbacks for a while.

We get Cancun and Cozumel in return.
