Alexander Hamilton felt the same way, as did other early founders of the US. What we got as a result was a republic with restricted voting rights. Seeing the results of allowing every regular jack off the right to vote, I'd say the early federalists were right.

Republicans think the rich are on their side, because most are white, it's why they kneel down to the interests of the rich and kiss their ring. Vice versa for Dems.

This batch of Globalist rich are on nobody's side and are an enemy to all.

Owning land doesn't mean you're rich and well-educated these days. It still wouldn't be working even if white landowners were the only ones able to vote.

    Ha!
In our nation, the so-called elites are staying away from politics - in droves.Instead, we have the "liberals" and tea-bagging conservatives - all low-lifes, IMO.
Ancient Greece, I do not know about, except for what little I have read...most of which may be a big lie....
In other words, our politics must be cleaned up, then, decent people will participate.

Those from the 1700s were right - for their time......
Its now the 2000s, we have improved, maybe not enough, which is debatable.
But I am one of the "jack offs", admittedly, the results are not good, too many selfish, too many tea-baggers in Congress, but still..

It did back then, but I don't believe being a white land owner is enough these days. The idea behind the white landowner being able to vote was that at that time, they were the most likely group to have a grasp and understanding of the issues, while not being bogged down with personal interest. I strongly believe the best route is that tests on competence and knowledge should be instated. I don't even pay attention to presidential campaigns anymore because it's all just bull**** pandering to try to appeal to groups of people they can't even relate to, while putting off and ignoring the real issues that are effecting us as a whole. Since the only requirements to vote are to be an American that's over the age of 18, the whole thing has turned into some gay cluster **** of a reality show, and it's a huge embarrassment. We don't need to see a candidate drive a nail through a 2x4 while wearing a $250 flannel shirt their aid got for them at Bloomingdale's, we need the mother ****er to tell us his plans for improving the nation, without the little flash cards he didn't even write. Our current system is based on the idea that as long as you can appeal to the masses, you can get away with anything, and they can, because the average voter is an uneducated ****wit.

Absolute rule by the majority. If the majority makes a mistake, they have to pay for it. If the "representative" elite make a mistake, the majority has to pay for it instead of those who made the mistake. Under our elitist Constitution, the majority can only elect more elitists to make more mistakes. Minority rights are a trick of the elitists to disenfranchise the majority by claiming that the majority is elitist. The only right minorities and elites have is to persuade the majority, not force the majority through elitist legislative power.
