Dv..when I became a police officer none of the women that are police officers today could qualify nor a good majority of the men....If you had to wear eyeglass's you could not be a Police Officer...you could not be under 5'10 or be above 6'4 to qualify you had to take a written test a physical accruity test a medical physical and a comprehensive psychological evaluation.
You had to climb a rope I believe 40' and of course come back down without falling...you had to drag a 200lb dummy through an obstacle course...a task many strong men had to struggle with, pure dead weight. You had to do X amount of pushups in X amount of time...X amount of situps in X amount of time and X amount of Pullups plus run an obstacle course timed. You are correct that the standards have been lowered dramatically to allow the inclusion of alot of people that could not have made the more stringent standards but that also includes alot of men that couldnt back then also.
One good point is that the have increased the educational requirements to be a police officer...

If a woman is the best person for the job than then I don’t care about her gender. Just because we have not had one yet does not mean that we are resistant to having a woman. Perhaps the politicians are the resistant ones. We the people have to be given a viable choice.

Depending on what she looks like; I think that the people would be ok with a woman president doing the interns (and leaking the pictures).

I did not support Mr McCain OR his running mate. If he had chosen a male running mate I MIGHT have held my nose and voted for him. After his choice there was no way I could support him.

There were plenty of other reasons for me not to support her. Including her inability to maintain a moral household under her own roof. However, they were insignificant after her gender.

From you point of view, I pretty sure not from hers. But lets face it, most people vote in ignorance of something. Nobody has a complete understanding of all different factors. And if we disallowed blatant ignorance and stupidity in voting, then there would be no socialist/liberals/progressives or a Democratic party as it currently exists.

Beating women--While I don't practice it, S&M play is apparently very popular, thus it can be assumed that some women like it. If it's against their will I can see a problem, but otherwise, who am I to tell them not to do it.

Death Penalty for pot--not so keen on this one, while I do support expanded use of the death penalty, this is not one that I would support.

Death penalty for going outside the Us.... Like the Dixie Chick thing, nah, no need to kill them. Since they hated the US so much, simply revoke their citizenship, seize all their assets gained from the US and bar them from ever entering the country again. It's like the whole Universal Healthcare thing, why try to force it down other peoples throats that don't want it, just haul your ass over to someplace that already has it and leave the rest of us alone. We should encourage people who want to force socialism, socialistic policies, liberalism, etc down our throats to move someplace else. They have that option, those who don't support different levels have only the US left as a refuge for their beliefs. Allow us ours and you pack up and head to someplace that already has yours.

Do you support wife-beating? We are talking about physical domestic violence for the purpose of punishment and control, with beatings varying in severity according to the 'offense' committed.
