Is it Time to Let Women Rule the World?

Not to mention a lack of the choice where Men and Woman have equal opportunities.

It's still a men's world for sure. But doesn't mean it has to be either a woman's or a man's world.

I don't get where you come up with the idea that only men have lead us to this situation. Throughout history, yes, mean have had the reigns of power more often than women, but there have also been women along the way. Margret Thatcher was an outstanding leader, while Corazon Aquino was a totally worthless bitch (she was a socialist, so it was only to be expected). Here in the US, we have not had a woman as President, yet, but just being a woman doesn't necessarily make her a good choice. Elizabeth Dole might be a good choice, while Clinton is just another socialist commie loving ****. Look at the job Pelosi did as speaker, you really want her in the White House? What about Boxer or Feinstein?

No, the bad has nothing do with the sex of the person in power. Elizabeth was apparently a good queen, as such things go, while there was Bloody Mary also.

The bad comes from several things. The worst problem is socialism. The next worse is dictators (Ok, most of these in the last 100 years have also been associated with socialism, but I will keep the two separate for now). Unfettered Democracy doesn't work very well either as people learn they can vote themselves "entitlements". Democracy requires an educated, knowledgeable and interested voting public, without that, it will trend towards socialism and will fail. A Democratic Meritocracy, in my opinion, is the best way to go.

But for Pelosi and Feinstein, I'd probably say yes.

So women can't rule unless men 'let' them...men have to place women in charge, women don't have any inherent authority to assume command...is what you're saying.

The very way you stated this question -- should "we" "let" "women rule" -- is about as sexist as you can get, which is ironic considering you wanted to present yourself as the exact opposite of that.

Hmmm, makes me begin to think a world ruled by humans in general is a terribly bad idea... meh we have no choice.

Men have predominately ruled for millennia for good reasons. On average, they are much more assertive. From clutching daddy's leg when scared as toddlers to often wanting the husband to handle confrontations when they are grown ladies, lack of this quality is why few women have even ascended into power to this day. This is also a reason as to why women earn lower salaries at similar positions. They are less willing to negotiate salary or speak up about something they feel they deserve.

Logical thinking, rather than emotional, is also a quality of a leader. Women, on average, will let emotion trump logic when making decisions. Furthermore, I've seen plenty of times where the date affected their decisions. "Oh, please excuse what I said/did. I was on my period."

The issue is not which gender has led, but who and how. We have a president in office who is a crappy leader, but is a good lawyer. With democracy, all it takes is to convince the simple minded of some bull crap. With that said, you must also look at the followers when judging the status of a society.

There were matriarchial societies back in history and their results were not significantly different. Except that... It cost us Illirians our kingdom when Teuta the Illirian queen surrendered to the Romans!!!

Men are controlled by the all-powerful penis. And the penis goes where he wants to go...

so the world is ruled by the penis. And where does the Penis usually go? The vag. So you see... the world is actually ruled by a symbiotic relationship between the penis and the vag. It's like a benevolent dual dicktatorship.

I agree that us men haven't done that great of a job running things. But just replacing all men with women for replacements sake isn't a good idea. Women like Golda Meir and Margret Thatcher, Merkel etc have proven to be good leaders and very adapt of taking good care of their countries. Now a well qualified women, yes. Just like I would want a well qualified man. My politics would take Condi Rice over Hillery, although I think both would make excellent presidents.
