According to election rules, the party is not obligated to nominate the one who won the most primaries. If it wants to, it can nominate Santorum instead of Romney. Should it?

Luna romney is all they have...every far right candidate was rejected by their own party during the primary. Santorum doesnt have any better a chance to win than romney does. Romney not only has to much baggage he has the far right ridiculous idiots in the house to deal with...like Norquist and Ryan and Demint making it far harder for him this campaign...this election was the republicans TO LOSE...this should have been a GOP slam dunk...thank the far right nutters.

No. The people of the party have voted, and they picked Romney.

Did anyone ever find ANY cites for your assertions on that thread, besides "some people"? Let me know when you do.

As for the OP, too funny.

I have to give credit to the growing number of people on the left who have managed to see past the blizzard of bull**** rained down on us by an out-of-control media, and have noticed that their boy isn't doing very well at this stage of the game. Kudos for paying attention. This time.

Obama's record stinks on ice, his fundraising is in the tank, and things in general suck. Out loud. I don't blame the lefties one little bit for trying to throw a monkeywrench into things, some righties did the same thing in '07. I was embarrassed for us at the time, too.

Romney has a "sterling record at Bain Capital", according to Bill Clinton, and at Bain Capital their job was to turn around struggling companies. That skill would come in pretty damn handy these days, I'm thinking. Job #1 of the next President is to steer us out of this recession, and Romney is qualified. Obama STILL isn't qualified, clearly.

Romney is a man of faith. A family man. A man of impeccable integrity. Every Republican I know has jumped on the bandwagon, and many of us have been there since 2006 or so. Nice try, though.

A better question would be, given Obama's economic record and history of pissing off pretty much everyone to the right of Liz "Fuaxcahontas" Warren, why doesn't the DNC undo their '07 mistake and make Hillary their candidate? Is it because they're believing their own press, and think Obama actually has a chance? Lmao, one poll just came out with a D+19 sampling (now I know why they call it Pew, like the smell of bull****). Guess what, the Pew poll shows Obama winning! By 10 points!!! YAY Obama! Hope! Change!

It's Obama Vs. Romney in 2012, and for thinking, intelligent Americans the choice is clear. Despite what you see on TV.

Santorum is nutty on social issues and is much more leftwing on spending issues than Romney

the social fascists have no place to go and Santorum would drive lots of independents into Obamaland

I could help you with that. Let me get back to you with some videos of some of the caucuses and you'll see for yourself.

Since I am not Republican, I didn't vote.

But for me, it doesn't matter, the Republican candidate has the best chance of winning of anyone not named Obama, so whomever it turns out to be, I will vote for them. I am voting for getting Obama out of office, not for any particular candidate.

ALL Republicans will have "too much baggage", as the Left will always find something about an opposing candidate to harp on until their candidate wins.

I can't see why they would, unless it is shown that the primary process was somehow corrupted.
