There is also submissive intimidation, "topping from the bottom" so to speak. Women do it all the time when they coerce men with their various wiles (witholding sex, fake tears, etc.)
The morality of abortion is not a religious belief, any more than the morality of slavery, apartheid, rape, larceny, murder or arson is a religious belief. These are norms of the natural law of mankind and can be legislated even in a completely religionless society.

I totally thought that the thread title was a set up for the punchline: My penis would get the death penalty.

    ...unfortunately, I'd be jailed.

Are there any current statistics on the, eh, "intimidating" people in America?

I'll walk into a store and the cashier will look at me, and I'll see his/her eyes go wide and other "Fear reaction" body language as I approach, even though I'm not doing anything on purpose. When I notice this I will always smile as wide as I can and say something friendly so they know I mean them no harm. This often provokes a sudden "relief" reaction, loosening of the shoulders, deep breath and so on.

Other times, some men draw up to their full height and glare at me, just because I walked by.

Cops notice me and look me over when I'm in the area. I went in this one convenience store, and there was a guy standing there half-hidden by a rack of snacks. The instant I walked in he looked at me and we locked eyes, and while I couldn't explain why I mentally labeled him "dangerous man". He kept watching me as if he felt the same vice-versa.
I walked slightly further in and saw the lower half of him, and saw his Sheriff's dept badge and sidearm on his belt... I nodded at him as I mentally reclassified him as "nonthreat"; he nodded back and thereafter ignored me.

Apparently it is something in my body language and/or expression; probably something I picked up back in my LE days without realizing it, like what some people call "Cop Eye".

It is actually kind of annoying sometimes. Occasionally I feel like saying "Hey, calm down, I'm not going to eat you," or something of that sort. :
I feel you on that one. I am quite broad shouldered and not over average height (6'2" is pretty average) but I appear taller. Plus, I'm not big up top and small in the legs. My calves are the same size as some of my friends' thighs and my thighs are at least twice the size of my calves. I just look scary. Plus I have a ridiculous poker face that I don't really mean to have I just don't show reaction to much of anything. So people are naturally intimidated by me.

And then when I am trying to intimidate, generally when I'm mad, I do so with a smile. I can here you thinking "Shouldn't a smile ease the situation?". Have you ever seen a dude smirk when he's pissed? ****'s about to go down.

I worked with a guy in Northern Californa that was an interesting case. Meth-injector for years, had done 11-2 in the Pen, handlebar moustache, raspy felon voice. He was about 5'5'', 120 lbs. soaking wet, and he used to intimidate everyone. It was really amazing to watch. All it was was attitude. When I saw the movie Hesher, it reminded me of this guy.

So quit measuring your biceps guys. It's in your mind.

I'm small and meek. Everyone intimidates me.

Weak minded. Be strong within and you will without.

I'm not intimidating though, I've a baby face, glasses and borderline hippy hair, I work with small children and often dress in purple polo shirts (for work). There are Corgis more intimidating than me.

The testosterone level in this thread makes me lol. I'm big, but I'm not intimidating, at least once a week when I catch the tram to work I have a random old lady ask me for directions, I get druggies asking me for money on the train, I get random kids talking to me. Life's a lot more interesting if I'm not setting out to scare anyone smaller than me.
