Hey, if you don't want to take the standard deduction (and other deductions) and just pay based on your gross income, go for it. But I'm guessing that doesn't happen.
Your individual wants have absolutely no voice in government unless it is done legally through legislation as stated iun the Consitution. You can't just decide not to pay your taxes because you don't like the way it's spent. Fix the system, pay your taxes.

None of these comments are really worthy of response.

Why? You are avoiding the fact that your Anarchist ways of "controlling government waste" are treasonous.

I just don't want to waste time explaining 'by the people, of the people, for the people.' It takes too much effort to knock a locomotive off it's tracks so it can look it more than one direction.

There is nothing patriotic about paying taxes, it's just the law.

I feel sometimes like a waiter who has to serve a fat slob even if they order a quadruple order of double fudge cake

You can't single handedly change something. That in of itself is against the Constitution. Are your rails even on the track?

Sure you can...it's called loopholes and tax fraud.

I believe that a tax rate of 10% is fair to do what I believe a government should do (in peacetime).

And I will do EVERYTHING I can, not to pay a penny more then that...legal or otherwise (without taking such risk so as to land me in jail).

I ignore ALL non-violent laws I do not agree with - if the reward is worth the risk...sometimes it is not, sometimes it is.

Only weak-willed saps do what they are told without question (outside of the military during wartime).

And yes, I said 'during wartime'.

I would NEVER join the military (again) unless a declared state of war with another country(s) existed.

To me, it's just basic ethics. If you take advantage of your country's social services, then you have a responsibility to give back.
