    The 999 plan is much better than the tax system that we have now.

    Well, I LOVED the part about removing all deductions except charitable tax contributions....fantastic.

    But the rest of it (like ending capital gains taxes) basically just gave the rich a huge tax break.


    I believe everyone should pay exactly the same tax rate - no matter what their income (after the first $8,000 at 0%).

    Most Americans vote out of party loyalty and/or base their votes on that billion dollar bilious ad campaign both candidates are waging.

    Can Obama get elected if unemployment remains high? Hard to say. His reelection is more probable if unemployment starts to decline, but it really depends on which one is the better liar and which ad campaign works best.
