I don't believe that the state should be able to harvest your organs as a mandate, however, I wouldn't necessarily object to the default being organ donation where no legal request or expressed wish not to donate is given.
I've given my approval for any and all parts of my body to be used either as organ donations or as tools for training new doctors - I'm not so selfish as to think I'm going to need it after I'm dead and I'm not religious so burial as part of a religious rite isn't of interest to me. But since I've decided to donate, I'd hate there was some mix up and they didn't see my donation card or it got lost or nobody related to me was in the hospital or at the scene when I died to let them know my wishes and because not donating is the default now, my wishes wouldn't be honored.
