Where are the "I have no clue" and "It depends on what year it is" options?
Like a good number of other Republican career politicians, he is a liberal who stands to gain by convincing large numbers of people he's not a liberal.
He is a liberal republican in the aspect that one is a moderate in the party. It's an older debate stretching the mid20th century onward
