Re: Is Mitt Romney a Liberal?

There is nothing wrong with being rich, most aspire to it. It's greed that is the problem, a willingness to do anything for more $$$$$, screw the enviorment, & fellow man just to amass more $$$$$.Wealth is a matter of luck, way more often then talent of any kind. Luck to be born in America, luck to be born wealthy, the luck to go to good schools, the luck to find a market for whatever trade you may pursue. Whit some sucking the $$$$ upward just to keep more & more , paying millions to buy pol's to get a return of billions with new laws that will suck every last dime upward, eventually there won't be any more at the bottom, what then?

What has that to do with it?

No. He's not a liberal. He'd best be expressed as a political amoeba that at best likely leans slightly to the right. In reality, he's pretty shapeless when it comes to politics, taking on whatever aspects will best help him in the immediete future.

It depends on what his Etch-A-Sketch says at the moment.

Re: Is Mitt Romney a Liberal?

Romney is a typical political weasel. He is for all three sides of almost any issue, yet somewhat against it too. He is equally at home governing a liberal state like MA, or trying to play conservative at a TP rally. Unfortunately what we need now is a leader, not a go long, get along political blob that wants to play let's make a deal. Romney is a big gov't "solution" kind of guy that advances such things as his "simple" 59-point economic plan or he will back the latest Ryan plan or he will agree to look at anything that polls well today. We are left with a choice between Obama and Obama-lite.

The GOP now insists on running presidential candidates that they think will appeal to "independent" voters in swing states, playing the electoral college odds, rather than running a true constitutional conservative. Romney is not the man to cut the HUGE federal nanny state that Bush/Obama have built into a money hungry monster that requires 40% more spending that it dare ask for in direct taxation. All we can do is hope for a real choice in 2016, and that we can survive until then. USA, USA, USA...

And its beyond comical that you see that democrats are loving kind benevolent multigazillionaires not driven by greed and willing to **** over the environment and their fellow man.

So, superstores like Staples, Target and Walmart are bad for the little guy because that saves them money and lets them live a bit better. They are far better off, if they do without owning these things made in China, and should just suck it up to support unions making the same products in the USA, selling for 2x the price, that they can dream about owning someday. If anyone is waiting for a liberal politician to make them rich, then they are either in for a very long wait, or have contributed heavily to their campaign. ;-)
