I'm interested to see what people think. I've heard some speculation from the media but not much. What do you think?

A decision to affirm that the mandate and the rest of the law are constitutional. No question.

I voted that Obama would benefit the most if the mandate is found unconstitutional. This allows him and the Democrats to instead of focusing on the mandate to focus on the other aspects of the bill which, right or wrong, are more popular with the public than the individual mandate.

I'd also say he stands to gain if the whole bill is found constitutional though. If the whole bill's found unconstitutional, its a pretty big blow for him.

Striking the WHOLE bill will help Obama the most. 1) he STILL gets the support from those that hoped for free stuff 2) he gets no blame for a mandate (since it never happened) 3) he get BILLIONS in "free" money, allocated for ObamaCare, but now free to use to buy votes. ;-)

Although I'm sure it's not intended as a trick question, it is tricky.
You would think that finding of constitutional would be best. If declaired constitutional, it could piss off the low information voters who think it's unconstitutional enough to get them to the polls.
If declaired Unconstitutional may energize those who would have been helped by it, but weren'tgoing to vote, to reelect the president.
But then I bet that Scott Walker would have been recalled, so I'm a little bit gunshy on making predictions.

If the whole bill had been rejected it would have helped him the most. He could have listed it as yet another dramatic example of how conservatives in government are more responsive to the interests of corporations than the welfare of the American people, along with the campaign financing law and other developments.

I repeat my comment from yesterday. Now O has to continue to defend the mostrosity. I was amused to see him say, in his statement, that the time fore debate was over!

This decision may very well energize conservatives and give romney a boost

I don't see this giving much boost to Romney at all. He is already struggling to define himself, and now he will claim to repeal that which he started in Massachusetts. Romney is horrible at disguising himself as a conservative because he is far from that. It amazes me that people actually believe he isn't the liberal that his record says he is.
