Well, then why doesn't C-SPAN record those, too?

I was under the impression they did...

They do. They even catalogue them and have them archived for Internet consumption and, eventually, single purchase on DVD and audio download. Same goes for everything else they distribute on their channels.

SO you are saying con firmation bias does not apply to you, even though you show all the evidence of having a major problem with it? Somehow I think I will stick with my much more accurate perception.
No, that's not what I'm saying Red_

I'm saying that I've known about this for a long time, therefore I'm aware when I catch myself doing it_

And when I do catch myself doing it I make a conscious effort to re-open my mind and consider all the material_

I do know about the "facts" you guys base your opinions and views on but I simply don't agree with them_

Believe it or not, you liberals are pretty much the only people I'm aware of who claim to be fault free and perfect_

I never said they werent biased. Im saying you equating CNN to FOX is ludicrious.
By your own admission, you are basing your opinion on very limited information_(see red highlight below)

:doh
**** no i dont. I dont watch any mainstream news. I only watch CNN when i get up in the morning while i drink my coffee before class. Other than that i get my news for Google news, Al Jazeera, The Real News Network, Reddit Politics, Politico, Politifact, Russia Today.
If you don't watch, you don't know__I do watch them all and they're all biased_

Yea this is why no one takes you serious.

You say that, yet you know quite well a number of conservatives brazenly declare themselves in similar fashion, whether or not our representation of their views is slightly hyperbolic (as I think you are doing here).

The first one was from a video game board. Great sourcing.

Did you even read the second one?

First one goes to NPR for me.

Second one is jacked up. Sorry about that.

NPR has had a few big and small scandals over the years concerning their bias. I think the Schillers and Juan Williams were involved in those.

Juan Williams Tears Into NPR Over Ron Schiller Scandal (VIDEO)

NPR chief Vivian Schiller ousted amid video scandal

"The comments contained in the video released today are contrary to everything we stand for, and we completely disavow the views expressed," NPR spokeswoman Dana Davis Rehm said in a statement. "

The point of NPR being biased as anyone stands. I used to listen to NPR quite often and its become obvious.

Rush Limbaugh does not count.

I thought it was interesting who voiced some complaints about the video showing NPR fundraiser Ron Schiller at a meeting with two supposed Muslim donors.

Analysts, NPR: Video edit of executive misleading

Analysts from the Poynter Institute and The Blaze, a website set up by Fox News host Glenn Beck, told an NPR reporter that they found a short version of the video deceiving when compared with the full two-hour tape of a lunch meeting between NPR fundraisers and two conservative activists posing as a fake Muslim group. The men offered NPR a $5 million donation and engaged in a wide-ranging political discussion.

The analysts' comments were contained in an NPR story published Monday. The Blaze also ran a piece last week discussing the differences between the edited video and the longer version.

"I tell my children there are two ways to lie," said Al Tompkins, a broadcast journalist who teaches ethics at the Poynter Institute, a journalism school in Florida. "One is to tell me something that didn't happen, and the other is not to tell me something that did happen. I think they employed both techniques in this."

Are they equally biased and have equal hacks?

Your not speaking a "unpopular truth", your speaking a opinion that is not based off any facts.

All the TV broadcast media suck now, Democracy Now has been spewing forth the imperialist lies on Syria for a year now. Amy Goodman is a front for the NGO's and foundations peddling fake activism on her TV show. Its a stage play. The Native American will appear all decked out in his head dress, the folksy protest song soundtracks, the DC insiders with their lip service to the Democrat Party wedge issues, token Mexicans, Blacks, Asains, and Gays will co-opt core issues for pre-fabricated Soros funded groups, to gin up support for Barack O'Bomber and cynical electioneering ploys, token evironmental and health care sound bites to support a phony liberal, pro-war establishment party, which fails progressives everyday of the week, as Amy Goodman relies on her stock footage of Dr.King and Ghandi for donations, refusing to release documents outlining where her funding comes from.

"Earlier the Pacifica National Board’s governance committee considered a funding disclosure motion “the objective” of which was “to have [Democracy Now's] Amy Goodman tell us where she’s getting money and what the money is buying.” The reason for the motion, its advocate explained, “is because there has been a lot of debate about whether Amy Goodman has received CIA conduit foundation funding from the Ford Foundation and other places known long time suspected conduits for CIA funding.”

Democracy When?

"Going back to the Syrian matter, even though thousands of independent videos & reports prove mainstream media lied and fabricated fake information, the majority of the masses – even after the now totally exposed lies on the Iraq war – will still tend to whether agree and accept, or, be totally uninterested by the topic.

"On this website, we’re dedicated to expose mainstream media lies as well as provide information mainstream media keeps silent about. If you are willing to learn more about the Syrian issue, just clik on the Syria tab and you’ll find more than 340 articles.

"What do you think people’s reaction would be when reading the Washington post I refer to in the beginning of this article? Do you think people will start questioning US State Department and corrupt Arab League statements about Assad breaking the cease fire ? No way… It will be total acceptance. Under the R2P myth and demonization campaigns against Bashar Al Assad the world has been fed with. Copy/paste with the war on Iraq. Copy/Paste with the war on Libya. Copy/Paste Copy/Paste Copy/Paste… People won’t take the time to think by themselves and refer to the constitution of their country, to international law, to anything… They’ll massively accept what corrupt mainstream media tell them to think. Worst part, is that most of them will then dare talking about it as if they independently took the time to think and research about it."

CNN is bearable, along with Fox Business News, Fox on the other hand pains me at times to watch it, especially O'rielly ugh, so stubborn.

You liberals....

You stupid liberals...

Your stupid liberal brain...

All liberals...

Just stop talking, E.
Apparently, you've had very little experience with liberals or perhaps you pander to them to remain in their good favor_

They are rude, vulgar and self-rightious by nature and the majority are driven by a Marxist ideology without realizing it_

My "liberal" evaluations are fairly accurate for the most part but of course I don't deny there are exceptions to the rule_

(although exceptions are indeed rare in this instance)

What a hypocrite you are!!!

Sorry Demso, but there's not much clarification here_

Are they equally biased and have equal hacks?
Most are biased to varying degrees although MSNBC is rather extreme and unapologetic in promoting its agenda_

MSNBC is very much like the one-sided AM Talk Radio of cable news except from a far-left perspective_

Your not speaking a "unpopular truth", your speaking a opinion that is not based off any facts.
I'm speaking an opinion based on solid facts which are obvious to any viewer with an open and clear mind_

Kind of obvious that you have never watched MSNBC when you make a claim that the network is like "AM Talk Radio". For some reason, MSNBC has a former Republican Congressman with his own 3 hour show 5 days a week and has recently hired S.E. Cupp as a show host but never mind reality - just as long as you 'know' MSNBC is "far-left", the rest of the viewing audience can make their own decisions.

Shhhhh :ssst: you're dyslexia is showing_

You should have included the BBC in the poll. I trust them the most.

Would anyone like to offer a diagnosis to CNN's rating problems???

CNN Ratings Fall to 21 Year Low in Primetime During the Second Quarter of 2012
Categories: Cable News Ratings
Written By Sara Bibel
June 26th, 2012

CNN's ratings continued to decline in the second quarter of 2012. The network scored its lowest primetime ratings in total viewers and adults 25-54 since 1991. Compared to the second quarter of 2011, CNNprimetime is down 35% in total viewers and 45% in adults 25-54. CNN had its worst total day performance in both viewers and adults 25-54 since 2001.

Every program on CNN is down by double digits versus a year ago:

Starting Point (7-9am) – down 43% in 25-54; down 37% in P2+

For comparison,in primetime Fox News is down 1% in total viewers and 14% in adults 25-54 while MSNBC is down 13% in total viewers and 17% in adults 25-54.

I don't care about bias so very much. I can account for that. NPR has the highest quality factual in depth content, and it is not even close. Fox is the worst, and it is not even close. Fox is a 24/7 Republican party infomercial geared to appease a nearly retarded viewership. NPR has novel experts on diverse subjects who are interviewed at length, as opposed to the others listed here, which tend to have a revolving handful of supposed jack-of-all trade pundits shouting invective in 5 second soundbites back and forth at one another, all modeled after Fix news.

I learn nothing from those programs and so don't ever watch them. I am certain that anyone who watches Fox news for more than 1 hour per day would be really, really pressed to sit still and read a good thick book. I mean it. They are retarded.
